Thanks. If that is for Update 39, then i do not think that is out yet. I will try again once it is released.

Oh, then it’s still broken on PCNA as it happens today.

@ZOS_GinaBruno - This still seems to be broken in the current live build on PCNA. Maybe we can get word to the developers? Thank you.

It's not mentioned in the most recent patch:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/638250/pc-mac-patch-notes-v9-0-7

And judging from the screenshot you post, the fix you quote comes from some patch of "waking flame" edition, which is pretty long ago. But even they said they fixed that back then, they apparently didn't.

I found it in the latest patch notes for PS (2.46/1.28) and Xbox (1.32.1.0), but it seems that specific fix never made it into any of the PC updates.

And the "Waking Flame" header there is only indicating that it's a fix to an issue from the "Waking Flame" DLC, to which the Dread Cellar dungeon belongs.

Yes I took it from the ps patch notes from the latest release (I'm on ps).

If it didnt make the PC patch hopefully it will be in the next one

    2023/23/07 and still not fixed.

Currently suffering this bug right now.

Dungeons are absolutely the worst part of this game and the developers obviously never knew what they were doing and never learned what to do. NPC conversations go outside the dungeon, not inside. They clearly think they're making an offline 1-player game, when they're actually not.

There are several dungeons like this. Scalecaller Peak has had this bug since it's inception and it still exists today. Dread Cellar quest bug I experienced again just a week or so ago.

I'm sure there are other dungeons this happens with. The standard solution has been to have at least one member wait in the dungeon while the person with the quest ports out and back in. Have to leave the dungeon completely and port back in otherwise it won't work.

Can confirm, ran Dread Cellar on a new toon, no NPC to turn in the quest to at the end. HOWEVER logging out and back in fixed it.

@Deanathrae the thing that worked for me last year was staying in group, leaving the instance, than fast traveling back to the group member still in the instance and the NPCs showed up for me to turn in the quest.

Hey everyone, just wanted to confirm this should be fixed on PC when Update 39 launches in a few weeks.

I encountered this bug sometimes on pc EU too (I don't know if it's fixed now) but the sure fix was to not just get out of instance but specifically "go home" - so fast travel to one of your homes, then return to one of the group members still in the instance should fix it. Worked every time for my groups, whereas simply just getting out and back into the instance did not always fix it.

This big existed since it's launch. If I recall right. Sometimes the npc is in the sky. Reloging fixes it

My experience is that you may hit the bug if you had a companion active when queued solo for a group dungeon. No companion = no bug. Relogging (while still in group with someone inside the dungeon at last boss location) also works as a workaround to see the boss, although you need to first despawn your companion so that they are not active. The boss doesn't like companions somehow, at least not the older ones. (This was from before Necrom; I have not tested with Sharp or Azandar as companions.)

This happened to me a couple of days ago. I could see the quest marker but not the NPCs, although my friend was able to see them.

I relogged and that fixed it.

I never have companions out when doing dungeons yet I was unable to turn in the quest because the questgiver was missing.

I am still missing the skill point for this one on one toon.

I haven't even unlocked companions on any of my characters at all and still got not quest npc to turn in the quest the last time I went there to do quest.
