Unlocking Arcanist class

OK, so I am about to buy the Necrom upgrade mainly to be able to play this new Arcanist class. My question is do I need to unlock Arcanist class with 1500 crowns or is the class included in the upgrade? I mean, do I have to buy the upgrade and some crowns to unlock the class?

No, you get the class and a character slot when you buy the chapter.

No, all you have to do is to buy Necrom (full collection (with all previous Chapters) or upgrade (just Necrom Chapter) (it does not matter regular or deluxe as these differ only with cosmetics they grant) and you get one extra character slot and Arcanist class available.

The difference with Morrowind and Elsweyr is that NOW the appropriate classes are decoupled from theirs DLC (you can unlock Morrowind for free and buy Northern Elsweyr for Crowns if you are not subscribed).
Necrom can not be bought for Crowns, neither it is unlocked by ESO+.
After Q2 2024 when new Chapter introduced - then the zone and the class, would, probably, be separated purchases, bit as long as Necrom is the latest Chapter - you have to buy it with the real money and have the Arcanist class unlocked.
