But that's not true. If you run past someone else, who is fighting some mobs there's a high chance they will hit them with some aoe or cleave, and then they get your mobs on them.SilverBride wrote: »The mobs that chase me eventually stop and run back to their spawn spot. Trolling is something a lot of people enjoy in mmos and their victims dislike. Which is something that usually goes against rules and they need to change.SilverBride wrote: »This is a consequence of playing an MMO. That is unfortunate but no one should have to change the way they enjoy because someone else doesn't like it.

Aggroing them is interacting with them. It doesn't matter how you did it. They're your mobs at that point.
I'm, one of those people that gets annoyed with this.
I never understand how people always seem to be looking for ways to level up and then run thru content without killing anything, happens everywhere in game. mystifying.
and then they get to the boss and kill it with extreme prejudice - so quickly that the other players don't get the opportunity to get a hit in. and now they have to stand around for another 5-10 minutes waiting for a respawn. Thanks for being selfish.

Wouldn't be an issue if ZoS would fix mob de-agro mechanics so they only chase for a few meters rather than half way across Tamriel, even though they have already past the de-agro threshold minutes ago.
It's like the game only checks the mobs leash range when you have attacked it.
Broken since release, never addressed.

im pretty sure the thread is more about delves/public dungeons than group dungeons

It's all about how you treat other people. the argument is that other people's time is just as important as yours.

when you pull mobs you presumably are doing it so that you can get through the content more quickly. If there are no other players in the vicinity, then no big deal - your actions don't affect anyone. But what if I want to actually kill the stuff when I walk into the delve? now I have to wait for the mobs to get tired of chasing you and then run all the way back and I have to wait around for all this because how am I supposed to get to level 2327 if don't kill anything and get some xp?? And unless you are seriously low level you should be able to kill the mobs in a few seconds anyways.

please realize that you aren't necessarily the only person doing that content. thank you.

The same way anyone else that reaches CP2327 does which is likely 65% power leveling in Craglorn or BRP, 10% just casually playing the game (writs, unlocking destinations, etc.), and 25% running past mobs, and nuking bosses.because how am I supposed to get to level 2327 if don't kill anything and get some xp??
a few seconds =/= the 0 seconds it takes me to run past the pointless mobs. And unless you are seriously low level you should be able to kill the mobs in a few seconds anyways.
Everyone who has played the game longer than 5 hours already know where all the XP farming spots are. Nobody is looking to level up by killing delve mobs.I never understand how people always seem to be looking for ways to level up and then run thru content without killing anything, happens everywhere in game. mystifying.
Would you rather me run past the boss as well? I'm confused... should I kill enemies or run past enemies? Oh, I see, it is fine if I kill mobs, but bad on me if I kill a delve boss. Man... this is going to get confusing.and then they get to the boss and kill it with extreme prejudice - so quickly that the other players don't get the opportunity to get a hit in. and now they have to stand around for another 5-10 minutes waiting for a respawn.
You're welcome.Thanks for being selfish.

I disagree. I am not responsible for how an NPC mob reacts. That is the real issue that needs addressed.

Can everyone please post their "rules" and standards of etiquette for how I should play the game?

Don't open a treasure chest, safe box, or any other resource that someone else is clearly working on. Also don't wait near them for them to fail a lockpick and then swipe it.
Don't play loud music in area chat.
Don't mudball someone who asked you to stop.
When you encounter a resource (chest, mat, whatever) loot it entirely.
If you queue a role, make sure you try to do the bare minimum to fill it.
That's about it.
It's like the game only checks the mobs leash range when you have attacked it.
Don't fail to pick a lock, and it wont get swiped.
Don't put in features that actively allow you to troll other players with (i.e. mudballs), and then expect people to follow some unwritten law about its usage.
