QoL Suggestion: Public dungeon and delve instance accommodations for large groups

If you have a group of say 5 or more players, one of two things should happen. You should get your own instance when entering public dungeons or delves. Or, the system should check for an existing instance that has enough room, and reserve space for the full group. It's ridiculous that even with the group size cut in half to 12 now, there are still so many problems trying to get everyone in the same instance for guild skyshard / group event runs.

Gamplay-wise it would be a good move to instance delves and public dungeons in general, but unfortunately I doubt the servers would lime that change.

But yeah, at least groups should have their own instance regardless of size.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

for open instances like that, the most reliable method is have 1 person enter and then everyone port to that person

they have delves in craglorn that are instanced, but this locks your group to 4 players like a group dungeon

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

That is exactly what we do, but people still repeatedly get "instance full errors" and fail to jump. Then we'll try to have multiple people enter the public dungeon from the map in the hopes of ending up in a different instance that isn't full so everyone can jump to them. It's a lot of frustrating, and IMHO unnecessary shuffling just to be able to play an MMO as intended -- with other people from your guild.

Last week, we ran a skill point run guild event, doing all of the base game public dungeons for skyshards and group events. We ended up with more than 12 participants, so we split into two groups, and we still had problems getting all of one or both groups in the same instance with their team, just about every other public dungeon we went to. The run took about 40% longer than it should have because of all the time lost to failed jumps and instance shuffling to get a full group on the same map. We're doing the same event in a couple of hours, and I am not looking forward to the hassle.

Yeah, they are. At least the delves not connected to the main quest. Same goes for optional quest hubs like skyreach.

Some are (the ones with the + by the delve icon), and those are limited to 4 players (which is less than what you can have in a regular delve). Honestly, I don't have a problem with there being players other than our group in the same instance as us, so long as my entire group can get in the same instance with each other.

I think it would be great if PVP were active in every delve

interesting, i dont know what the hard cap population is per instance, and its possible that both large groups were trying to go into the same instance, further complicating matters (since we cant choose which instance we are in like some games)

That was not the issue. I think we had one case early on where that happened, and after that we offset the groups so they weren't trying to get into the same PD at the same time. It's also worth noting that either one of my proposed solutions would have prevented that, since each group would have been given their own instance, or put in an instance with space reserved for their entire group. This is 100% a Zenimax issue.
