Forum account name change is a complete new account?

Hi,

i requested to have my forum account that i created 2014 renamed because it contained my real name in an autogenerated style, after creating a service ticket and entered 3 name wishes, support send me an invite and now i have a complete new account without history. That doesnt make sense if i read the support article on how to request a forum name change. Does anyone had the same experience after requesting a name change?

Just post the new forum username in there it should be changed once ZOS_Bill replies.

Hi,

i like to change my forum account to "tineidae" on my forum account, so i created a service ticket (230702-004136) with 3 names as the faq recommends, then i got an invitation link from from ZOS_Suserial. and this created a completly new blank account with my new name but my intenten with a "change forum username" ticket was to change my old account, not get a new one

Yeah I would change mine, but I have threads I update periodically and not sure how it would affect my ability to do that. I've gotten used to it even though there is that stress test beta code at the end of it.
