Bosmer Racial Passives

I am begging ZOS.
BEGGING.

Give the little cannibals something.
Anything.

Because right now, saying they fall a little short is an understatement.

They are the worst choice for every role in all respects, outside of roleplaying a thieving imp.
  • How about they use a little less resource when dodge rolling or breaking free?
  • How about a teensy increase to ranged damage, just a little?
  • How about a slightly faster stealth entry?
  • How about a little bit of weapon/spell damage?

Any one of the above.
Or anything.

I am not good at numbers and mechanics.
But it would be nice having some passives that are both fun and useful, in PvE and PvP.

Anything to give them a little edge to compete with the other races, allowing players to build a little different or compensate/compliment the traits.

We will be entering the next PTS cycle soon, and soon after that focus on bug fixes.
It will be the perfect time, the latter half of the year, to give all of the race passives another look!

Pretty please! <3

I know that stamina recovery is good for bosmer, and I read that if stamina healing was a thing they would be good.

But I have often wondered about passives relating to recovery, such as the khajiit passives. No one ever says play a khajiit because they have recovery on all their attributes. Is recovery important? I don't know.

    Yeah that's very true.
(Maybe Bosmer Arcanist Stamina Healer using Phoenix Moth Theurge set?)

I've heard khajiit good for dps in dungeons for the crit passive. Not the other passives really.

At the very least when it comes to the race passives it would be fantastic to have some kind of meta change.

Wood Elves just don't have much going for them. If you're using all your character slots,
using a slot for a Bosmer is a hard choice at times. (Unless you're just playing for chilled relaxed making and exploring all kinds of cool solo character ideas.)

Do any other races have passives that are pvp- only? Unless every race gets one passive only helpful in pve, one in pvp and one combar, no race should be as skewed especially since these changes were implemented on existing characters.

Oh no I didn't mean mode exclusive.

I meant useful for the modes.
Like how Nords are good tanks in trials, Orcs good in arenas etc. I didn't mean to imply mode exclusive, but more that passives should be useful for players of both modes.

I've just heard it echoed how certain races are more beneficial for certain roles in certain modes. At least when min-maxing.

I am playing Bosmer in PvE mainly for the fun of it. While I don't see any downsides in comparison to Dunmer or Redguard except for min-maxing, I still agree that the decreased fall damage is nothing compared to increased lava resistance, increased food duration or increased Alliance point gain. Bosmer fall deeper. Great. Has some subtle implications in it, hasn't it?

I guess it is, because the Lore specific stuff like disease resistance brings you only a downside in ESO. There are no diseases except Vampirism and Lupinus which most players rather welcome than want to prevent.

Therefore I assume, if they are not going to introduce diseases as an actual hindering thing in ESO (which I do not believe in), Bosmer will stick with fall damage. Make them eat raw meat for food buffs would be probably either overpowered and too complex or so useful like the fall damage reduction they already have.

They had speed, zos listened to some bosmer enjoyers and cut it in half making them worst choice momentarily despite sustain staying the same.

Just my two cents that asking for more would take something away at the exact same time, so they might listen but be prepared for some other aspect to be toned down and that's probably will be sustain this time. Passives are already spreadsheet-balanced so just pure increases aren't realistic.

The passives aren't bad... It's just with Hybridization they got the short end of the stick. Wish it wasn't true cuz I love my Bosmer.

I think they are amazing. Use mag recovery mundus and run sugar skulls as food. Get more pen plus all important speed and reduced fall damage for kyting. I dont see why they are bad but he...

    Disease status effect!?

I love my Bosmer so much too!
But sometimes I just grow so envious of the other elves (I play them too but, very occasionally, I can feel the difference in difficult situations).
I just wouldn't mind a tiny touch up.
