The problem with ESO

Afaik the point of this thread isnt even the whole social aspect of the game, its just grouping!
haha "whiteknights in general" like you weren't totally trying to attack someone for making a positive post about their grouping experience (which as you point out, is what this thread is about). It's ok, we get it, you really don't know what you're doing here anymore.3 -
Speaking as a new player, aka I got the game on 4/28, I am finding that I like that I can get quests done without having to group up with people. I play at such weird hours right now that it isn't always feasible to get a group together to finish something.
As for the negativity - you will always have it. I've played just about every MMO out there over the last 15+ years and the one thing they all have in common is the fact that the squeakiest wheels are those that have something negative to say. I personally ignore them and go about my business. The game hasn't even been out an entire month yet and already you have the QQers.
I forget who mentioned it up above, but I agree that the zone bosses shouldn't go down that easily, especially in a random zerg. Guild Wars 2 has it about right with this. The bosses are pretty damn hard, even in a zerg.2 -

✭10 bucks says those exact same people complain that you are forced to group in craglorn. People just complain, gaming isn't about having fun any more its about finding flaws like little easter eggs.
Go read the reviews those same reviewers made on SWTOR. It will seriously shed some light, the same things they PRAISE swtor for they condem ESO for and most of the masses haven't played the game and just regurgitate (word for word most of the time) what they hear or see on reviews. (notice the clear omission of "read" because most of them have issues with that).

I don't think people want to be "forced" to group I think people just want a system where:
1.) it's easy to form groups and do any type of content with a group
2.) grouping tools that make playing in a group easier/more enjoyable (target markers and configurable group member display comes to mind).
3.) well designed and easy to use "looking for group" tools, personally I have mixed feelings about LFG systems since I saw what it did to the quality of group dungeons in WoW but they seem to be very popular.

100% agree grouping feels like it was an after thought and does not flow well imho

I like a lfg tool what ruins it is the community. Not all the time .I have had many enjoyable experiences with lfg and some very bad ones as well. I keep in mind that it is a pug group you are in, but a lot of it is the community . I see a vast difference in the community in ESO ( in game not forums) than in wow (in game not going by forums) so maybe it may work better here. Time will tell....
I think you hit it on the nose ...No one likes to be forced into a way of playing.

See, I think you're completely wrong here. I don't think this will go F2P and I think they will and are addressing the issues. The game is just bad is YOUR opinion. In my opinion, I love it and would have paid for a 6 month sub if they didn't ban me for something I didn't do. I'll sub month by month because I'm frankly not going to lose money because they ban me for something stupid again like opening a guild bank to see what it looks like or managing my own guild bank. Honestly, that wasn't the devs. I have faith in the dev team.
1) I love the guests and the stories behind the quests, so much fun
2) I love the combat and the ability to use any weapon I want. That's what I love about The Secret World.
3) I think the world is beautiful and so is the music score. If you don't, try upping your graphics and getting surround sound.
4) Bugs, I've experienced them and though they can be frustrating, they will be fixed. No game is launched without bugs, even single player games.
