Food Buff and EXP Timers are gone from Active Effects after Downloading Necrom.

This is especially a pain currently with many of us levelling the new archanist. Can’t tell when the XP buff has run out or how long to go.
I’m using the tri stat chicken food we always get from the daily login rewards so it is obvious by my health when it runs out.

Unfortunately no. I filed a /bug report in-game after my Crown Fortifying Meal & Crown Experience Scroll vanished after using a wayshrine. Yesterday they disappeared without using a wayshrine, I was just running around in the same zone and "poof" vanished they were.

Hopefully this will be properly fixed.

I just realised what might have occurred earlier. I thought my food buffs were gone after I took a tri-stat food, then switched zones. All 3 stat bars were shorter, as if they'd reverted to their standard values. But then I noticed that the stat numbers were still correct. In other words, the numbers still showed the tri-stat buffs, but the bar lengths seemed to indicate the buffs were gone.

@ZOS_GinaBruno , I don't know if anyone's mentioned this previously, but I thought it might be relevant to this problem?

With Further Testing i do not think i am losing my mind but it certainly feels like the Stamina recovery buff is not working properly on Lava Foot Soup and Saltrice. with this new issue. YES my Stamina bar Shrinks and still shows my Stamina number correctly but the Stamina recovery aspect once i re eat my food mid fight seems to re kick in. So yes, please fix this fully next incremental Patch please i am no longer Using Ambrosia potions too hard to tell when they finish and burning through food like mad LOL. I am Going to have to go on A SCRIB Jelly buying Spree or Farm it soon because of this.

Same has happend to me since the Necrom update. I reported it as a bug. I am not using them until it is fixed and I complained that we are losing real money item effects.

I to am having this problem , buffs vanish food + xp.

The other annoying thing happing to me is my attribute bars disappear on first log in, i have to go click them to always show again each time. Could be related to the food/xp ui issues, very annoying.

Food buff's do stay on like Gina said.

If you eat a food buff and check your health before porting to Telvanni Peninsula your health will be the same or oddly almost the same....something does drop out but it's only by a hundred or so and that is bit odd but playable.

If you take a scroll buff before teleporting to Telvanni Peninsula when you get there the buff may have disappeared, but if you try using another one it will not use another as it's still applied. This maybe different for Psijic Ambrosia but it should not actually allow you to use another one.

If you turn off Addon buff UI's and turn on the games permanent long buff's in game tracking it will do a better job at the moment with tracking it until it gets fixed.

But yes it is annoying.

I simply don't buy the "display only" thing. It's simple to test. fight a boss fully buffed and when you see the UI buff bar shrink, just watch how fast you die compared to re-buffing.
Not saying this is happening to everyone but it's happening to all my characters.

If you can't trust your UI and you're consuming tons of expensive food and drink, it seems that some solution faster than the next "incremental" patch is in order.

I haven't experienced stats changing or the loss of any other effects, only the disappearance of Mundus and consumable buff icons. The icons from other sources such as my gear and abilities still display just fine.

In Settings > Combat > Buffs & Debuffs, like probably many players I have the "All" dropdown set to "Always Show." I tried changing it to one of the others, then back, and when I exited out of Settings, my food buff icon returned. However, it disappeared again after I changed zones.

Then I tried changing the setting to "Don't Show" exited Settings and confirmed the icons weren't visible, then returned and switched it back to "Always Show." That time the buff icon remained after I used wayshrines to change zones, traveled to the interior and exterior of houses, went through doors and portals, even after I logged out and back in, and exited the game for a few minutes.

I haven't checked all of my other characters, but those icons refuse to stick around on one character, yet don't disappear at all on another. I don't have Necrom yet so I don't know if travelling to the new zones has any effect, and I hadn't played much this past week so today was the first I'd even noticed the issue. Regardless, fiddling with that display setting may have been a temporary fix for me on at least one character, and maybe others will find it helpful.

Same thing, the food buff disappears, and the health bar is reduced without additional hp every time when I change location.

There is some weirdness going on with the UI in relation to food/XP buffs. The buff indicators will vanish and the resource bars will shrink as if the buff is gone, but they'll sometimes reappear after rezoning, and I won't be able to use another XP scroll because the game says I still have one active. Others have indicated that it appears that the local client is losing the buff info but the server still has them active.

I've noticed that the buffs seem to not be only visual and also that the loss of buffs is inconsistent.

I can run around a zone and port and go through doors all day without the bug happening and other times It happens EVERY time I go through a door or port.

Sometimes I lose both the xp buff and the food buff and sometimes one or the other.

Sometimes The glitch is not just graphical when measuring things like how the health pool changes the output of a damage shield for example.

Doesn't seem to matter if the food is crafted purchased or rewarded

I had the same problem too. Food & XP buffs not showing visually. Updated my graphic driver yesterday for RTX3070 and buffs are showing again.

Since ZOS has acknowledged it’s a problem on their end (which they are aiming to fix with this week’s incremental), I think the driver update was likely coincidental. I know my buffs keep coming and going in different zones, even though my drivers are up to date.
