If achievement points were a currency, would that incentivize you or would you feel put off?

If achievement points could also be used as a currency of some kind, would this further incentivize you to earn the points, or would you want to repel/boycott having another micro-transaction type system?

Personally, I don't do achievements (on purpose) unless it opens up a new dye that I like. I don't care about titles. At all. Whatsoever. Zilch. Nada.
I want mounts, non-combat pets, outfits, dyes, furniture, etc.

So, the vast majority of achievements are currently useless to me. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way... right?

Also, I feel like it would reward long-time players with lots of achievement points already. That's a plus, right?

The question:
If ESO's achievement points could be used as currency for items in-game and/or from the crown store, would this make you more likely to attempt achievements?
Read all poll options before choosing. You might find a better answer to describe how you feel about it.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

    No. (Why?)
Achievements have no meaning at all to me. And no, I'm not going to post what I really think, as I've already been "chastized" for what I've said in the past.

Take achievements and trash them. Totally useless, and no, being a "currency" would just *** me off.

Oh, and what in the hell does "starfield" have to do with this? I have no idea what that even is.

Beside, I already have quite a lot of seals of end. and gold that I don't use much. So I have no need for one more currency.

There's enough currency already, but better rewards for achievements besides ones that accumulate themselves would go a mile for people's engagement and attachment. There always will be ones saying that's stuff is "gatekeeped" by achievements but that's natural and unavoidable.

I dont really chase achievements, though I like being given anything I wasnt expecting so there's that. But I do like deciding to fully complete some things, so the ones for zones give me a reward for saying 'yeah you've totally done that' - even if there is no reward. I never care for achievements like 'Kill 300 zombies after first hitting them with a mudball' or just made up junk like that. But I like them as a sort of tracker. If I saved an are and I get 'Hero of...' as a title, that's nice, I like those.

If tomorrow I woke up and they had great rewards, well cool. Thanks.

If I woke up tomorrow and they were gone I'd go "Oh. They're gone".

    That's about it really.

I try to get an Xbox achievement in another game every day to get points for Microsoft rewards. The only way I can get those points is to do easy quick achievement in another game on game pass Eg yesterday I played 'Ben 10' for 5 minutes to get points. I can spend those points towards gift cards in real life so I see where you're coming from.

I have no interest in spending days and weeks trying to get ESO achievements as it relies on planning. I play ESO for fun so I do random dungeons and quests, and I don't hunt for complicated achievements like becoming emperor.

An in-game financial incentive wouldn't encourage me to do more or play more.

With a question "would that incentivise you or would you feel put off?" how can there possibly be a yes/no option? Yes or no to what? Incentivising me or putting me off? Where's the option for leaving achievements as is?

Personally, the damage was done to the achievement system when it was made account-wide. If ZOS are to be believed that this was done to reduce the database then they're hardly going to build a new currency system off it.

    Yes. (Why?)
I'd like to see more rewards for achievements. Some I get accidentally just by playing the game, but for the rest, no reward generally means no completion. I'm perfectly happy with rewards like titles (not something I usually have on), access to dyes and more goods to buy at the achievement vendors. If more rewards like this were added I'd be onboard. Being able to use the points as currency alongside the present system also would work for me, though.
After the rather haphazard way AWA seems to have been implemented, I'd be wary of asking for a full-scale overhaul. I'd be worried we might lose things I like and gain very little in return.

In response to your bolded question above the poll, no. This is because I am not interested in achievements such as titles, skins, mounts, dyes, and so on. Furthermore, I have distanced myself from much of the Crown Store offerings because I don’t need them.

I don’t need rewards (stuff) to have a rewarding gaming experience. Good storytelling incentivises me to play, not an ever-increasing list of things to do.

I always chase achievements I want, but for my own personal satisfaction. I wouldn't like to see achievement points tied to any type of currency. It would demotivate me because I know there are achievements I'll never get, so I'd have a sense of missing out, which I don't have now.

I'm not sure I picked the right answer, the poll's format is confusing since it asks an either/or question but then gives yes/no answers. But I just wanted to say it wouldn't incentivise me.

My other MMO already does this. For every X achievement points there's bonus rewards, including some exclusive items. It doesn't put me off but it doesn't encourage me either. I basically see the achievement rewards as not worth going out of my way to get but something I may end up with eventually anyway. And no that's not because of the items involved, so whatever "better" rewards you're imagining when reading that wouldn't make a difference. I like many of them, but they're not worth grinding a bunch of achievements I otherwise have no interest in doing, nothing is.

I'd rather spend my time on things I actually find fun and want to do for their own sake. If every so often I get a bonus reward from achievements then that's cool, but I'm not going to do things I have no interest in just for some items.
