I hate the new filet option

It means have to press e tra buttons 36x to do daily crafting to get to the food and beverage craft menu that's now hidden behind a creation menu. Since most people aren't fileting but crafting why not make it an option after the furnishing menu. Food drink furnishing filet? Or food drink filet furnishing. Why make extra work for everyone doing daily crafting?

Ok, if I understand correctly, you are not happy that the provisioning crafting window open on the filet tab and you would want it to be the last tab of the window?

I'm not happy with the creation of good a drink now takes an extra press of the button because it's now a sub menu rather than the main menu. Go and see.

I use the addon "master recipe list" which allows for checking the "Quests Only" box, which seems to shortcut to the food and drink menus for just the writ quest items.

Yep, the filet option in provisioning station won't be used that often, so it makes senses to move it to the right and make food & drink buttons the default ones as those are used way more often.

yea. why [snip] is it the default first tab? a single use of the station shows that is poorly designed.

It would be better as last tab, I'm glad it's an option though.

I don't use an addon, and I have the "Quests Only" box checked, but it still defaults to the Filet tab, so the addon you're using must be bypassing it.

I haven't looked at the crafting station yet but making it the first option does sound annoying.

I almost never go fishing so I almost never have fish to fillet, but I use the provisioning station regularly to make food and drinks (you know, the thing it's actually for) so having those relegated to secondary tabs in favour of something I'll probably never use is annoying.

I'm fine with the fillet option per se, but agree placing it as first tab is the worst idea possible

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

No, but it can take an expert to create a good ui. As a developer myself, I know that creating a good ui experience is a skill in itself.

A lot of eso's ui looks like it has been cobbled together by different dev teams over the years. There's no consistency and many things are not intuitive.

Yes, it's a dreadful design choice putting the filet option left most and not right-most.

Also, what happened to the food/drink recipe scroll bars? Finding the right recipe used to be a bit of a chore before but, without the scroll bar, it's a real nuisance and a pretty unpleasant experience.

Same in gamepad mode. Filet is the first choice. You have to move down one to get to provisioning. Should be the other way around since most players will use provisioning much more than filet.

I understand and share the annoyance that the fish filet UI is the default when you access a provisioning station. But I’m not at all sure why so many of you seem to be crafting items for each writ, instead of crafting provisioning items in bulk and banking them.

I agree it is a poor UI design with the placement of filet and making it the default. Since filet will be lightly used by most players it would be much better to be at the far right leaving everything in their historical positions.

I do craft in bulk for writs, but there are master writs, and then my new character is leveling her provisioning.

That's probably caused by an addon.

But if not, I'd be happy to replicate this problem on my game

It doesn’t need an expert UI developer - just some that LISTEN TO FEEDBACK GIVEN FROM THE PTS.
This was pointed out that Fillet shouldn’t be first but as usual ZOS have ignored it.

It sounds like they placed it first as it’s basically cookings version of “refining”, which appears first in the other crafting stations.
