NPCs of all rankings will use the Treasury patron on better cards

I can't put a number on the amount of times I've seen the NPCs destroy their high value cards in favor of a Writ of Coin. They will even ignore Bewilderment cards in favor of downgrading their own cards. I do not think this to be intentional behavior as it does make beating NPCs take significantly less effort, especially the Proficient to Expert level ones (Also I don't think a Beginner of any game would knowingly get rid of a high value card over a low value one).

I would suggest only allowing the treasury patron to make writ of coin for NPCs to be used on cards in this order:
bewilderment>coins>(misc. starter-level cards, if at all- ex. peck, ritual herbs, fortify, way of the sword, etc)

They will even swap out writ of coin for writ of coin, wasting their gold which prevents them from making other moves.

Same for all ragpicker and ragpicker-like cards, these will target cards that cost any amount of coin and will sometimes ignore Bewilderment cards as well.

This behavior is seen in the novice and intermediate-level tournament quests as well

I can't say that I have seen this but I only play expert at this point. Perhaps I've just missed it. It may be an intentional error they can make at lower levels or it might be a general bug. Would be nice if this was given a response.

They also seem to prefer using the treasury vs getting a good cheap card from the tavern in the early game. I guess that's a strategy call, but it seems better to get a +2 gold Crow card than another Writ of Coin.

the npc strategy is all kinds of weird, i mostly play novice ones and they seemingly buy cards almost at random from the tavern, sometimes prioritizing the tavern over converting gold to writ of coin

ive sometimes seen the npc go almost the full match without even using the treasury

NPCs also completely ignore any patrons with the exception of the treasury and king Orgnum (for whatever reason).
This is very convenient as it allows for fast free wins for the dailies, but pretty much takes away any challenge they could ever have.

the funny thing is they actually used to use hlaalu patron more before some of the AI tweaks, and i do sometimes see them seldomly use others (druid king, hunding, and now hlaalu)

at least the novice npcs also do not straight up spam orgnum, sometimes they hit it once or twice, then stop randomly, then might start hitting it later, but certainly not every turn

NPC can also remove their entire deck, given the opportunity. ;) I've played the game there NPC happened to have several hags and each turn deleted more cards than he drew. When there were no more coin cards, he started randomly delete everything else. I thought he will end with zero cards (that would be hilarious), but when he only had 2 cards left in the hand, hags finally deleted themselves. :D
