Is it possible to subscribe to ESO+ through ZOS if you use Steam?

As the title states I have an account that was setup through Stream. Is it possible to subscribe to ESO+ through ZOS instead of using Steam for it? I know you can bypass Steam by purchasing the base copy of the game to login. However if the account is setup through Steam you have to login at least once using your Steam credentials in order to get items like those in the Necrom preorder to appear.

@ZOS_Bill can you look into this and see if this is possible? Or if anyone reading this actually has done it please let me know.
