I love the new class but the Arcanist class can cause serious health issues.

✭✭Which class has the least flashy skills? Nightblade?
Nightblade and Warden if you rely on weapon skills and only take a few class skills. That's why roughly 75% of my characters are Nightblades or Wardens, with a few Templars and one Dragon Knight (who uses no class abilities at all).

I never play in first person, but with vertigo, and something I'm not controlling moving around me in a circle, I'm concerned that it will affect me the way sitting in the back seat of a car does (it isn't pretty....)
We will see when I get the chapter. If it's too bad I'll just not use the crux spells etc.______________________________________________________

✭✭✭✭✭I just watched a couple of YouTubes of the Arcanist in action and I am greatly disappointed. Everything they do is bright green lights in your face. Unless these things are toned down and we are given a way to toggle off these circling triangles I won't be playing one.PCNA0 -

Nydarisa✭✭While I agree that the class skills are far too bright, I will say that the runes are much more subdued than the rest of the class graphics and travel around the payers waist so you do not actually see circles (for folks who have that particular sensitivity). Other skills / armor with floating visuals are far more intrusive IMHO (pearlescent ward, sanctuary, ebon and worms all comes to mind) so if those are not an issue, my hope for you is that the runes will not be either.
All that being said, I think it would be an excellent idea for one of their 3rd quarter QoL improvement initiatives, to add options to reduce the visual effect clutter from skills and sets. Even when I might want to find an effect (Olo I am looking for you!), I can often have a difficult time when there are many other effects on top of it (and yes I have ally effects turned off).

I do recall there being mention of people not liking it and causing them issues, but it was lost amongst the mass of other feedback. It's also possible those who were most seriously impacted by the visuals didn't get on the PTS until later in the cycle, so they didn't have time to get their views expressed on the appropriate feedback thread. Which means that when it goes LIVE, there will be a large number of people trying to play this class and having negative effects because of it, at which point either they'll stop playing Arcanist, come to the forums and/or Twitter to express their displeasure, or they'll quit the game completely; hopefully not the latter.CP: 2105 ** ESO+ ** ~~ ***** Strictly a solo PvE quester *****

thedocbwarren✭✭✭I don't know how many times it's been asked to tone down the bright white flashing in several instances (especially sqrying.) This causes migraines. Also screaming horses, bright lights from pet summoning. To be honest, the accessibility of the game seems quite low. Basics are there for captions, etc. but needs to expand to the visual stuff, IMHO.5
