I haven’t tried it much myself. I briefly tried a baby arcanist on the PTS, but didn’t end up leveling her so I didn’t see most of the skills. But this is worrisome.

Sadly, they are always circling until you spend them. I'm not sure about re-zoning, but I know they are still visible while on a mount. I've actually slotted a shield crux spender just so I can use them up after combat so I don't have to see the constant crux swirling around my character. It was noted MANY times in the Arcanist thread about people wanting some way to turn them off (apparently it's especially bad in 1st person view) but so far ZOS has not listened. It's basically like Warden's Fetcher Infection, where if you don't spend the second cast, the animation remains on your character's hands until you do use it.
They should make it like Nightblade's Grim Focus, in which the animation disappears but the number of attacks you've accumulated stay available to use once you enter combat again.

I have issues with sudden changes in light and sound. I regularly get issues in dungeons and trials. Not sure how arcanists will affect that, have to wait and see until live.

They had a very eloquent solution to issues like this, which was simply to provide the player with a new section of UI where the gain of the "Crux"-like power was displayed above the healthbar as three empty circles that filled with color when the "crux" had been acquired.
I feel something like this might be helpful. I myself find the crux circling to be visually straining due to the intensity of the color, although I don't have the same problem you do with your inner ear. My sympathies regarding that- motion sickness and dizzyness is a nightmare.
I love the new arcanist class, unfortunately its main mechanic can cause serious health issues. It's about the "cruxes" spinning in a circle.
Some people, myself included, may experience discomfort, headaches, imbalances, or dizzines when they see objects moving steadily around a regular circle, what cruxes exactly do. This is due to congenital predispositions associated with disorders in the labyrinth of the ear.
Therefore, on behalf of myself and other players with such a problem, I kindly ask to create some kind of an option to disable the graphic effect of cruxes mechanic around the players character - maybe some tracking option in the form of buffs above the skill bar instead or sth else.
P.S. I would love to seriously play this, but the above issue prevents me from doing so.
The exactly same issue has shaman class in WoW and probably many other classes in mmos.
there's a particle density option in UserSettings under \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live (if you turn it to a text file) that may be worth playing around with

However, as I said, it DOES go away after playing for awhile- although short breaks while playing is advised.
