A few days ago I was questing in Cropsford in no-cp campaign. I'm EP and some yellow guy/girl attacked me. Because I'm useless in PVP, tought I could try to ride away. However I was taking some damage already and because no-cp had no fall damage reduction. So as I jumped off some not really that high rocks, I instantly fell to death. Tbh, it was hilarious and after a brief facepalm moment I laughed about it.

In the beginning I put much efford in equipping all my chars with intricate gear and weapons to maximise my crafting experience - I even gilded some - until a friend told me that deconstructing them brings exp not wearing them.

I was doing a quest that required you to cross a lava pool by jumping down and over onto a broken walkway, but my aim was off and I ended up in the lava instead. Another player that was also doing the quest tried to help by throwing some healing my way. Fortunately there was a small rock formation nearby, and after a few tries I was able to jump out. Except I overshot the walkway and hit the lava on the other side where there was nothing to help me get out. I hope the other player got a good chuckle out of it cause I sure did.

How long it took me to search in guild traders... I thought they were all empty.

P.S I had a friend did this and he had been playing 3 years.

Falling down the hole in Sanctum Ophidia, and falling off one of the bridges in COA2 for the the two bosses you do before you get to Valkyn Skoria.

Having my mouse button stick while riding across a bridge in Cyro on my way to an AD fishing spot, and running right into a whole group of AD guards (on a DC character). Running away might have worked, except I ran into the river - with all the slaughterfish - because it was hard to steer.... I'm sure the guards gave the fish high fives.

I bought a new mouse posthaste.

Ok, here's one. After I'd joined my first guild with a regular trader I thought I had to go to where our trader was that week to list items for sale. Since I had a banking assistant that I did my banking with it wasn't until about a year later I discovered I could go to any public bank to interact with the guild's trader...

Another one: Showing up to a dragon fight essentially naked...
I have a gear manager add-on and have weapons\abilities on separate slots from armour sets, outfits, etc makes combining and swapping loadouts easier for me.

I was in a hurry that day I guess, so I equipped my weaps and abilities, then my outfit and ran out the door to do the dragon daily.
Partway into the first fight I'm feeling a HUGE increase in difficulty and of course start blaming lag, game bugs, what I had for lunch, etc.
"Why is my stam nearly out again?? Where the heck is my recovery?! Damn bugs"
"WTH? Why is everything hitting so HARD, holy heck?!"
"What is even going on here, my DPS is awful omg!"

When I got a moment I opened my menus to make sure my CP or skills didn't get reset somehow:
"No, skills are fine, CPs are all slotted, everything looks fine! SO what in the actual-"
I glanced at my gear loadout
"Oh holy heck."

None of my armour was equipped, no sets, nothing. Just me, with a 2H, bow and a snazzy looking outfit slot.


Amazingly I actually didn't die even once during that fight and still recall it as one of the most fun and challenging fights I've had yet

So if you ever want to do vet overland mode, fight dragons naked

Falling into the water in Vivec City while running back to the bank(er) after doing daily crafting writs because I was reading something on the second monitor (might have been this forum) and didn't notice that I was either hitting the wrong key or aiming suboptimally, happened way too many times

A few years ago, me and a friend were in IC farming tel var. We were guarding a district we had captured, but one guy kept coming in, so we kept sending him packing. After a while, we realised the poor dude had literally just shown up to do some fishing and nothing more. He did his thing, then left. I kinda do a big cringe when i think back on that.

golden the wrong weapon/gear for the master writ....more than once

I was running as a guild group healer in Cyro for a while. One day I wandered solo and ran for the skyshard behind the enemy gates opened.

I met a small group of allies and ran along with them. We all got the skyshard and guys jumped into the fight with scroll temple mobs. The scroll wasn't there, captured by our alliance already. Well, guys want some exp and fun, I thought and healed them well during the fight.

Somewhy they ran chaotically and 2 of them ran too far away and died. I concentrated and kept the rest alive running around for about 5 minutes, when they eventually just stopped moving.

In the end one of them wrote to zone with pure caps "<My character name>, stop healing me! I want to die!"
That moment I understood they wanted just die and res like a fast teleport to base. But it was not that easy with me nearby. Oh god, I was so proud of my healing a moment before.
