They could just add tristat potion as one of the options from PvP vendors. It helped to reduce cost of spell power potions and corn flower back when it was also getting expensive.

this is a great idea for both IC and Cyro (I'd be fine with Tel'Var merchant in Cyro for the pots too tbh), using a form of currency that has to be earned per character to buy consumables is a great way to retain activity and interest in the part of the game where you earn that currency. especially since logging out of the character can put you into an unnecessary queue. Implementing this would be the best thing for pvp zones since adding the armory station to cyro.

Add more alternatives to columbine for tri-stats pots please.

There are already 5 different recipes, but all with columbine. And in the market, prices are so high [snip]

Prices are kinda nuts on na compared to eu. It's not just the thing you mention. You could make a chart with any item, say gold platings, and make the same argument.

But yah another item or two would be great, one that could replace columbine for potions and another that cold replace it for foods, but not just one that could be swapped out for either. Let columbine reign supreme as it were but something else to swap it out in each use case that cant be used for both use cases..

Then there's craft bag and people not selling.

    Can confirm.

What addon are you using that shows the items value?

    Arkadius' Trade Tools.
Might need to turn the "Enable prices in inventories" setting on.

High prices would indicate they know how fast players go through them. More demand means higher prices leading to more profit!

Yeah, that was the open part of the "or..." As I didn't want to say it's predatory. But it's predatory if they know

Tristat pots are extremely powerful. They let you dump sustain and push your damage as high as possible without the downside of downtime. To a degree, they are an addictive substance. I am addicted to having the huge damage that I can have because I can reset my pools and boost regen by 30% every 40 seconds.

They should absolutely be expensive for that reason. As a tri-stat pot-head though, I don't think it's great that one columbine costs 3k+ on pc-na.

Fortunately, the login rewards frequently give you enough for a few BGs which offsets the cost to a degree. How much it offsets the cost depends on how little you play.

If anything columbine should be in rewards of the worthy year round, since that content is where people chug the tristat pots like fiends. It would be great if I could recoup some of the costs of my potion consumption by getting 2nd or even 1st place. In fact, I would wager that this is just the right amount of motivation most deathmatchers would need to start caring about balls and flags.

No it really isn't. It is what drives every successful economy. People find a need and fill that need. It is the ebb and flow of supply and demand that keeps an economy strong. Doesn't really matter the reason for more demand, just that there is more demand.
If you put a stack of Columbine in a trader and five minutes later it sells you know to up your price on the next stack. You don't care how the Columbine is being used and for what purpose. You price on them being in demand.
Predatory is going into starter zones and trying to sell new players over priced items before they realize how common those items are.

I think the predatory part was originally directed at the price of tri-pots in the Crown Store.

As far as I know, the price of tri-pots in the Crown Store hasn't changed.

Talking about the crown store. They design the game in a way that makes for high demand, then influence the supply. If they are knowingly manipulating that to make money; it would in deed be predatory

I missed the Crown Store part earlier.

I don't see the Crown Store as predatory. I see it as a convenience for those that wish to take advantage. Kind of like a convenience store around the corner from your house. Instead of having to go all the way to a grocery store you go around the corner and get what you want. Sure it will cost more but that is where the convenience comes in.

There really isn't anything in the Crown Store you need that can't be found in game. You are paying for the time it saves. You have three other options available. Farm the ingredients yourself, purchase from guild trader or take advantage of crown gifting to purchase crown items with in game currencies.

As they offer no advantage over what can be found in game I see no problem with how the Crown Store functions. That being said I still would have preferred a much more limited Crown Store and subscriptions be required for the game. The Crown Store is the direction they decided to go and to me it is fair being only for convenience and cosmetics.
