This was supposed to be defensive tank mythic that puts extra pressure on your stamina in exchange for mitigation. I like the concept, but as it is now, it's targeting what is not problem in the slightest. Tanks already have enough options for dealing with direct damage. We have Bracing Anchor, Immovable, passive block mitigation and such. There isn't a single fight in which you die due to insane direct damage. Even more direct damage based fights such as Archdruid Devyric have been done on 3 dd setups by stacking block mitigation. We don't need more of it. Also for people that don't know how to sustain their stamina, current itteration of this mythic might effectively turn into noob trap where they drain themselves off their stam in fights where you would not even utilize block at all, such as harmless trash pulls. This helps no one.

The biggest problem at the moment for tanks is dot mitigation and this should be the niche this mythic might be able to solve. So change it to something like 50% dot mitigation and negative 800 (or whatever number might be fit) stamina drain like Spaulder of Ruin does. You would still have to mitigate direct damage with block, but some of more punishing dot fights like Bahsei, Taleria or even 4 man stuff like Arkasis might be more manageable for your average tank.

It would also become much less disruptive in PvP because majority of the damage there is direct damage, sans few pressure builds using master's weapons and procs in general. It would be much healthier mythic for both PvE and PvP.

there is still the issue where if you have a dmg shield active, the mythic doesnt actually cost any stam at all

and for other dots like arkasis, as far as im aware those are health scaled, which if its oblivion dmg that kind of stuff ignores mitigation to begin with so any amount of reduced dot dmg wouldnt apply to that

its already in its current state going to be very powerful against burst dmg in pvp, where its main weakness will be multi-hit attacks like jabs or flurry, since it will be able to trigger at the same rate of block, and require your stam to be 50% or above to even get the mitigation

The damage shield issue needs to be fixed before this goes live.

This item will be straight-up cracked if shield-stackers get 50% mitigation for free.

Only way to deal with DoT is slotting heal over time skills especially DoT that applies a heal. It will prevent slotting other things but hey got to out heal the high burst DoTs

The nerf to this mythic actually broke Skinny Cheeks -- ZOS finally broke the poor guy, haha. You can see it on his recent video going over the 9.0.3 PTS patch notes. How have they managed to cripple two mythics before even going live?

My bet is they already reached their targeted sales quota so they don’t need to bait with mythics like usual 🙂

Well, at least they nerfed the new op mythics before they went live rather than months down the line after the damage was done.

Would probably serve ZoS best if their approach was to release content with more conversative stats and then buff stuff up accordingly after it has been well tested by the community. Gives people something to get excited about at least.
