Upgrade to Nekrom to test on PTS

This is not true. I'm able to log on fine and I do not have Necrom. Where did you get this from?

I'm experiencing the same, unable to access pts for Necrom. Testing characters gone and only my live ones available. Assume that means I'm locked out of the pts now.

I'm able to access Necrom zones, but I can no longer access Arcanist, it is greyed out on character creation and says "upgrade purchasable in crown store" or something similar, the same thing it does for Necro for me when it's a EU cycle, except, unlike with Necro, Arcanist isn't in the crown store.

If this is intentional this is really disappointing, I plan to get Necrom, but can't afford it yet, but would really like to continue to test Arcanist before it launches

Yep, same here, cannot make Arcanist and upgrade is greyed out.

I think NA an EU are in somewhat different positions.

NA don't have access to their main characters and cannot create new Arcanist characters but, can use existing Arcanist characters and can still visit the area.

My guess is that EU characters are more locked down.

With that said, regional differences aside I think it's fine to have it set up that way. During the first few weeks, ZOS gets a decent amount of value out of having more people on the PTS reporting issues and the people get to try and see if they like the content. In the later weeks the value of our feedback degrades as much of the stuff that would be found in normal gameplay and at this point people have had enough time to decide if they will buy it or not.

Personally, I'm passing at the moment because while the update has a solid amount of stuff and it does a far better job with the quests than the recent prior chapters much of it doesn't really appeal to me that much, I don't think the day to day actives are really that appealing to me (I didn't really enjoy the Bastion Nymic or the majority of the WB fights), and I was really turned off by another sexual assault quest (Since it has gotten changed a fair bit I may buy the chapter at a later point).

Perhaps I'm wrong it appears EU people do still have access.

Ah, okay, I see it now. With the way the original post was worded, I took it as "you have to have Necrom to access PTS" not "You have to have Necrom to access Necrom". Though, I think the Necrom-pre-purchase only thing is supposed to happen next week not this week, yeah? Usually it's included in the patch notes at the top. But this is my first time not pre-ordering so I don't know.

I'm on EU and haven't pre-purchased Necrom. I just went on the PTS to see what's what.

My Arcanist was still there, in Apocrypha, from last week. I was able to use slot 20 to create another Arcanist just now.

Movement into and around both zones seems unrestricted using wayshrines and land gates.

I can't find anything that has been locked out from me.

I'm on EU too and can also still play with the Arcanist I created last week without having pre-purchased Necrom, so there's probably something else going on.
