Could you please make the Almelexia deck just available on the PTS. I really want to test it out but I don't want to rush through the entire necrom story just to get hold of it.

You should have it immediatly unlocked if you make a CP 3600 template character.

Thank you so much! I've tested it out now.
So far my biggest concern with this deck is that cards that 'confine' other cards do not have a maximum meaning you that if your opponent doesn't have the ability to get knock out the agent you can just keep adding cards to confinement. I felt like between 3 of the confinement agents I had most of the NPCs deck under there. This seems a bit OP, to not have a maximum.

what does the confinement actually do?

technically there is no limit to the number of agents (outside of the actual quantity of agent cards from the decks), there have been cases where i have actually had as many as 15 agents active against an npc opponent (though lately the npc seems to be very adamant about sacrificing its earned power to kill agents even at the detriment of itself lol)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Confinement allows you to choose a specified number of cards (usually 1 or 2) from your opponents cooldown pile and place them under the agent. They cannot have their cards back until they knock the agent out.

This is a really cool mechanic, but it is possible to get multiple agents who can do this and with no maximum number of cards they can sit on it means you can literally hold your opponents entire hand ransom.

hmm so its like a temporary lockout of opponents cards

its kind of like the inverse of rahjin spam then, instead of putting junk cards in their deck (which you can also do infinitely), your temporarily taking a card out of play

with how weak most agents are i dont honestly see being able to do it infinitely a problem, the only times it would be relevant would be if you have weak power generation AND at the same time lack other agent knockout cards (i play with the rahjin deck a lot and i use like jarring lullaby to keep opponents agents down instead of just relying on the knockout cards from the tavern deck)

the agents that generally have a lot of hp (near 5) are ones with taunt, which will end up dying within a few turns from power generation

other agents that dont taunt usually have lower hp (3 or less) and can easily be knocked out manually by power generation

the spot where i can see it being powerful is early game, when each persons deck starts with 10 cards and lack of power generation, but you would have to be lucky to get an agent very early

a good counter for this deck would probably be rahjin due to the quantity of agent knockout cards it has

Yeah, the ability to lock your opponent out of using certain cards adds an entirely new layer to the whole game, you can break up crow chains, steal druid cards to stop your opponent getting a chimera, steal the armory or rally cards, take the Rajhin card that knocks out agents... And you can also have cards in your cool down stolen from you. This isn't the only thing that deck does, it also has a mechanic based on discarding cards from your own hand in order to draw more which makes it pair really well with Crow and Druid. It's very entertaining.

The problem is that with the amount of decks to choose from it can mean that you can play with 4 decks that have low power generation. So you are then relying on psijic patron ability or rajhin knock out cards to get your own cards back. I don't think this would be OP if the confinement agents could have hold a maximum of 2 cards each, but I've managed to have 2 agents each holding down 4 cards and another agent with 2 cards. As you can only confine cards that are in your oponents cooldown pile (not in their draw pile or hand) it means every time they buy a card, in order to counter your confinement agents, you can steal that card before they get a chance to use it. Also most confinement agents don't have taunt, so you do have to actively knock them out to get your cards back.

The other thing this deck has is several agents (costing 8g) that give you more uses of a patron ability which will certainly make for some very intense patron usage games.
