No characters after downloading pts patch

As stated I downloaded the current PTS patch and can log in without any issue. However once logged in I am taken directly to the character creation screen and none of my characters are available to play. Is this just me? I don't remember past PTS updates doing this

EU character copy. EU players get their characters now and NA get nothing if they don’t play EU, have to make template characters.

NA only gets 2 weeks, EU gets 4 weeks and continues being EU until the next PTS cycle.

What has happened is they have swapped from the backup of the NA server to the backup of the EU server to give a chance for EU players to try out their already existing builds. Every PTS cycle does this at least once. So in this case it means you don't have any characters on the EU server so it's taking you straight to the character creation menu.

Still don't really understand this tbh. Why bother copying characters when one server or the other isn't going to be able to test with those characters for part of the time? Even more so, why give PCNA (which I assume would be the most active or populous test set) only two weeks at the start of the PTS before going to PCEU for the next 3-4 weeks plus the downtime between PTS cycles?

I have no problem with rotating servers, but I do think it's a bit unbalanced.

NA gets their characters only for the first two (i.e. most unpolished) weeks, and then EU gets the version closer to final and gets the PTS in the off-season. I'd like if there was a bit more swapping back and forth, like maybe every major patch they swap who gets it first and who gets the closer-to-final version.

True, there's not much testing during the off-season, but iirc EU players wanted to test housing build ideas with their accounts on PTS. But... that means NA players can't do so. I know I like to go in and get screenshots for my stories, but without my cosmetics, I have to do all of that in the two weeks I should be testing, which means I don't get much in the way of testing done. Again, it could be better to trade off which server has the off-season every once in a while.

This is why I decided to uninstall PTS between Chapters. Now that the EU copy has happened, I can probably uninstall it until next year. Edit: Uninstalled on my gaming system. Still have it on a second system with the beta launcher, at least for this week.

This is what I absolutely hate. The very least they could do is give the NA more PTS time between PTS cycles..

The only 2 na pts week were ok week made sense when it was a 4 week pts or even with the uneven 5 week. But now that there is a 6 week pts i think ti would be better to wake it a 3-3 split instead of a
2-4 split.
