Another patch, another block bug.

I can say this with certainty now after having this happening numerous times in several dungeons (every time in the worst possible moment where I need to block as a tank): there is a new, very obnoxious block bug since the rework of how block carries over from bar swaps. It can be reproduced by bar swapping which no cap, considering the rework of how blocking is supposed to carry over when bar swapping, is pretty hilarious in how awful it is. Block drops, and you can't block at all, animation of block doesn't show up and the translucent shield doesn't show up.

It's starting to feel a bit hopeless.

no news or eta on fix, to prevent yourself from getting the bug you can try refunding trifocus. I decided to invest more in block cost reduction glyphs (bracing) and the issue has been less noticeable for me. if your self heal's resources overlaps with your block cost bar, definitely use the other. bar.

To be clear maybe this is a separate block bug, because in all the cases this has happened to me I've had close to a full stamina resource bar. I can only remember it happening when having switched to frost staff though so maybe the other post is on to something.

But I see in that other post that the devs are aware of the situation and working on a fix for it, so that's good news at least. It's been feeling so off when it's happened.

Thanks for these suggestions, will try them out, though it's been happening to me with close to a full stamina bar, too.

I'm getting a block bug with hard mode coral aerie where I'm just getting hit as if I had no resources or if I was not blocking at all. It has been only on heavy hits randomly throughout the encounters.

I've noticed this as well. There are times I block everything. Then for some reason I take a ridiculous amount of damage, 100k+ to 300k+, while I should have been blocking, from a single hit. The same attacks I was blocking before. Since it was a random ongoing thing during the run, not limited to any one specific encounter, I started making sure I always swapped between SnB and ice staff in order to ensure I was never out of magica or stamina.

However, I've been noticing that in heated encounters I am often unable to block. "Heated" as in massive amount of damage incoming, vet trial bosses.

The other night in vCR I had this happened in almost every attempt on Z'Maja. We had 3 tanks constantly having to swap out on Z'Maja because 1 of them would suddenly die.

Also, what's with stamina magically going to 0 even while in between encounters? As seen in the video I posted here during a break from said vCR run.
