I have an ongoing problem that multiple ticket follow-ups have not resolved.
1. I have multiple accounts. Some are tied to yahoo email, some to Gmail.
2. On about March 6th or so something happened that caused all of my accounts to start getting the "This device is not authorized" message at login. (I assume that may have been my ISP changing my IP address or something like that.
3. Some accounts (mostly tied to Gmail) received their access codes within a couple minutes and I was able to login and I'm good.
4. Most of my accounts tied to yahoo will not receive access codes (a couple were fine).
5. Because some of these email accounts were created just for the purpose of my ESO account and I never log into them... some of them had been deactivated and I had to reactivate them, which only took a few minutes. I assume there might be a delay in receiving new emails... maybe a day.
6. I tested sending an email to one of my reactivated email accounts and it worked fine.
7. Still couldn't received an Access Code for login.
8. For those accounts that I cannot receive Access Codes to log into the game, I am able to log into the elderscrollsonline.com website without any issue, so I know it's not a password issue.
9. I logged into one of these accounts and opened a support ticket and immediately received an email verifying the ticket was open.
10. I later received a response from a support person to that email and have had several back and forth comments with the support staff... so I know it's not an issue with the email account receiving email from ESO at least related to tickets.
11. I've been asked to change my password on the account (even though I can log into the website without issue), which I did and that obviously did not resolve the issue.
12. I've been asked to change my email account for that account... which I really don't want to do... it's challenging to create new email addresses for this purpose. Besides which, we've proven that my existing email address is able to receive ticket emails from ESO.
13. It's been about three weeks since I've been able to login to these accounts. I'm sure I've been booted from several guilds on these accounts, which is frustrating to say the least. With the upcoming event, it will be frustrating to miss out on that fun and rewards.
14. Yes, I've checked my SPAM and Trash folders. The emails are not going to those folders.
15. I've checked my message blocking settings and there is nothing configurated to be blocked.
16. I've added the ESO email for Access Codes to my contacts to see if that might make a difference... it did not.
I don't understand how it can be that I can receive ticket emails fine, but I can't receive the Access Code emails to the same email address.
I also don't understand why, if I can log into the website, I can't simply click a generate Access Code button and have it generate on screen, or even send the code via SMS to my registered phone number. I mean... when you open a ticket you have the option to be contacted by SMS, so that functionality seems possible. In any event, there should be al alternate method to resolve this issue.
Anyway, I feel completely stuck and frustrated and on the verge of giving up hope of ever accessing these accounts again.
