Best way to farm Tel var as a PVE player only?

I normally don't have a problem in IC because I always on my Mag NB.

One thing you could do if you plan on farming a lot of stones is.

    - create a new account ( $10.00 )
    - Create a mag nb on all 3 alliances
    - Get Blade of Woe on all 3 characters

Go to Kyne at level 10, and play the map. Log into the alliance that controls most/all the flags then go to the districts and one shot the large NPCs with blade of woe.

If you want a friend, get a dog.

As the title says, what is the best way to farm Tel Var without being zerged by 690 CP people all the time? I pick the lowest pop campaign already and there still seems to always be someone there, picking on lower CP players. I'm only 289 on NA and 184 on EU, so I do find it pretty harsh when it's the same players over and over again, usually 3 Vs 1 and they will even ignore the boss to pick on me.

So any type of solution (besides leaving/get good smartasses) is welcome. I don't care if it's fast Tel var, i just want a peaceful corner to be left alone in low pop campaigns. Or better yet, is there a way I could ask these people to leave me be?

farm the sewers, be careful about zergs. there are not so many today anymore (I read, earlier they were more often). check out the lowest population campaign and there, prepare to die often, because of accidental zergs appearing

My suggestion is simply that you should not avoid PvP, you should play it. It's hard af, but gets easier as your skills improves, and eventually will turn to a lot of fun. Non CP PvP is doable after 160 and you can get along in CP land after 300 in a tanky setup. Try pariah or fortified brass, it helps a lot for surviving.

Honestly the gap between 690 and 289 is not that big due to diminishing returns.

This game mostly relies on skills and the ability to slice/animation cancel macro your abilities.

Next is gear, after that is CP.

I suggest rolling EP as they own all IC 90% of the time then you will be safe to roam solo, I just farmed Tel for an hour with my Guildy who was lvl 10 and me CP 200 something. Easy peasy.

    Have fun!

The difference between a low cp and max cp character is probably bigger than it has ever been before. The whole point of a frontloaded system with diminishing returns is so the max cp players dont get much when they stack into specific passives. The issue is that there are too many good passives and you never have to stack into anything. If the idea of the frontloaded system was to make low cp players more competitive then it was 100% off target. Its doing the exact opposite right now.

So they do lose Tel var? I guess that kind of explains the harsh reaction.... Still sucks though, we didn't ruin his whole ESO evening, but he sure ruined ours. Seems a bit unreasonable.
As others have stated, the other player(s) do not "lose" any Tel Var stones. They just do not gain as many Tel Var stones. The total number of Tel Var stones "dropped" by a Boss is evenly divided among each of the characters which inflicted at least one unit of damage on the Boss.

So a player who is soloing a Boss will only gain half of the TV stones, at most, if just one other player's character participates in the fight. Some players just do not like to share the rewards from combat (especially with strangers), whether in PvP or in PvE.

Whether it is bad manners to join a "solo" fight (or a 2-player or 3-player fight) in progress with an IC Boss depends upon your perception of the ethics of playing TESO PvP. After all, TESO is a Massively Multi-Player Role Playing Game.

It was not designed with every feature of the game to be played solo -- especially not PvP, although 1-versus-1 Dueling is the exception to that. So the majority of players do not believe that anyone should be offended when another, uninvited player's character joins a fight in progress against an IC Boss.

In my experience with PvE, ordinarily no one is offended when any player's character joins a fight at a Dolmen or Abyssal Geyser. In fact, it is customary to announce the name of an "active" Dolmen/Geyser on the Zone Chat channel before beginning a fight -- even to wait for at least one other player to arrive. Very few player characters can successfully defeat a World Boss solo, or eventually kill all of the enemy entities which port to a Dolmen/Geyser. The same holds true for 4-player "Undaunted" Dungeons, not to mention Trials. They are designed intentionally for group play.

Strong characters can usually "solo" Public Dungeons. But that will require a lot of time and effort, being prepared to resurrect as necessary, and being prepared to repair the character's equipment from time-to-time, too. In addition to Public Dungeons, all of the Quests which my characters have undertaken have been played solo, and some must be played solo.

You earned 100 telvar in 12 minutes...

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

If you really hate PVP, farm gold and buy telvar.

Otherwise, strength in numbers and farm mobs in a dead campaign.

it isn't that you lose Tel var when someone else attacks a boss you are fighting... it is that you have an attitude problem and think you own everything you see.

Same goes for ppl that are "Grinding exp" Just because you are grinding doesn't mean nobody else can be there and "ruin your grind"...Cause obviously they can...learn to play with others.

Well the tell var is shared so you do lose out. No reason to start calling names though, it isn't just their game. Just move on to another one

Telvar is especially easy to make for PVE players.

On your own you can make upwards of 150k Telvar per hour, extremely easily, just killing district bosses.

If you consider 100k Stones is a MINIMUM of 200 of each plant on average (If using it for monetary gain via alchemical satchels) then per hour I'd guess it's the best money maker in the game, on any platform.

Given that, just make smart decisions about when to bank if you're scared of PVPers and use a Sigil of Retreat to do so.

On top of that, the main thing to remember here is, with the gain that can be had per hour, what's the issue losing 20k every now and then?

People have already suggested sewers, that’s a good place cause it’s always empty.

If you truly hate pvping though, just farm gold some other way and use the gold to buy telvar stuff, none of it is bind-on-pickup.

Farm the bosses in your alliance part of the sewers, they drop 300 TelVar each. Kill any mobs on your way between bosses.
This can easily be done solo ...

You can also solo some of the roaming bosses, but those are more difficult and you stand a good chance to lose TelVars.

I solo in the ep sewers and run with a couple pals up top. Most folks I know either want to farm telvar or want switch things up and do ic and kill folks. So no real problem finding folks.

When I solo IC up top, it’s not with the intention to farm telvar, it’s just to fight. I don’t care if I lose telvar, I came to fight.
