Best way to farm Tel var as a PVE player only?

As the title says, what is the best way to farm Tel Var without being zerged by 690 CP people all the time? I pick the lowest pop campaign already and there still seems to always be someone there, picking on lower CP players. I'm only 289 on NA and 184 on EU, so I do find it pretty harsh when it's the same players over and over again, usually 3 Vs 1 and they will even ignore the boss to pick on me.

So any type of solution (besides leaving/get good smartasses) is welcome. I don't care if it's fast Tel var, i just want a peaceful corner to be left alone in low pop campaigns. Or better yet, is there a way I could ask these people to leave me be?

I did try asking, but most people either wanted to be in Vivic or didn't have the DLC, plus the last time I did that when it actually worked, we (or well I) accidentally came across a guy from the same faction soloing one of those 2M HP bosses and we attacked it. he got mad, called us names I shall not repeat here, then proceeded to get the AD and EP faction to work together against us, ruining our farming time quite quickly. He said he would so i know it was his doing, I rather not have to deal with that again.

I guess you lose Tel var if someone comes and attacks the same target as you do? I assume that's why he got mad

First stay away from the bosses unless you are with a group or can burn the boss down fairly quick. If it takes time it really isn't worth the effort for the amount of stones you will get. When I was starting out I would just run the first circle of the sewers over and over hiding from the banner boss whenever I stumbled across him. I would go in with 100 stones and after a couple of circles I will be near 1000 stones. If all you are after is the stones and you don't mind it being a bit grindy that first loop is all you need to run. Usually the evil doers will respawn before you will get back to them. If you come to an empty room be wary of enemy players but chances are some friendly just got ahead of you that close to home. If you do get jumped you can try going back into the safe area and in chat let others know there are gankers lurking about. It is amazing how many people like to wreck a gankers day.
I'm guessing telvar runs are going to be popular for a while now so try and find a group to join or short of that just tag along with other friendlies. You can try going up into Imperial City but you have a better chance of meeting enemy players. If you do go up into the city be sure to go to the zone that has an entrance into the sewers that is near home base.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

it isn't that you lose Tel var when someone else attacks a boss you are fighting... it is that you have an attitude problem and think you own everything you see.

Same goes for ppl that are "Grinding exp" Just because you are grinding doesn't mean nobody else can be there and "ruin your grind"...Cause obviously they can...learn to play with others.

Hmm okay, yeah I was staying up above because I figured it would be easier to escape players with more places to run. Didn't think about there being more people up there to compensate. Although I don't like the flag guys it'd be better than people.

As for the bosses, alright, I was mainly trying to test my solo abilities but that clearly won't happen XD.

So sewers it is, thank you.

TV are split between all the players "participating"(one hit is enough) in killing of a mob/boss, so a lot of people do not like tag-alongs. One player can get up to 14k tv from killing one boss. 2 will get up to 7k each, etc. I would advise against joining randoms successfully soloing/2 manning bosses in IC, even though it's definitely an overreaction to resort to name calling and intentional killing, I assure you none of them would appreciate you chiming in due to the way the system works.

Personally my favourite TV farm is doing bosses with 1-2 friends - any more and the TV drops too much imo, any less and it's too slow and risky. We are at least half PvP ready though and we can give a decent fight back(unless it's really a 20 people zerg, but you see those coming). We'd just loop the districts, people generally flip them if they have nothing better to do so that gives you an idea of where enemies are - if there're any. Hit and miss though, if there's a zerg on the loose you aren't getting much farming, but we've gotten 40-50k tv an hour on some days. Also there's nothing like siccing IC district bosses on enemies. It's just too awesome not to do it. Admittedly I was doing it on my tank so I didn't get rekt myself XD

Honestly I would highly recommend doing it with friends, at least one or two. You can solo but it will be slower(especially if you aren't quite high leveled enough/experienced to solo farm bosses yet) and the risks are greater. If you're in any guilds ask if they do IC/Sewers runs or something.

Also everything buyable for tel var is BoE so you can just buy it off other players with gold.

the Tel var for a boss if you have all the flags is like 14k and if you solo it you get it all...if others come it is split amongst you.

They do lose tel var, and it is an overreaction. People will often get...competitive about tel var(and soloing bosses, which is actually quite a fun challenge), but that just sounds mean.

I usually try to lose the tag along or politely explain that it's more beneficial for us to farm at different places, personally. If there become too many people of my own alliance I'll just leave, I refuse to farm in zergs. But it is safer in bigger groups.

It wasn't intentional on my part, I was just following the leader, not sure if he knew or not, I admit I'm not the most observant, but I know now to not intentionally do this.

I don't like zergs either, I like doing stuff on my own, but with all the 690 CP people that just murder everything in sight, no mercy, you're kinda forced to group unless you're one of these people.

sewers are definitely the safest (unless you wanna do platform "farming" on the district platforms)...

the safest sewer situation is with EP...they have a room off to the side away from the main sewer tunnels...

Do the sewer circuit right outside your base.

    Deposit stones every few thousand.

Prepare to regularly lose half your stones and don't be salty about it. If a ganker is camping your sewer circuit, take a break and go do something else.

Also if you have finished the IC main story you get to daily quests in each upstairs zone.........

As well as collecting stones as you go each quest rewards a Tel Var sack with 200 stones in it......

Not a massive amount but that's 1200 over all six zones plus whatever you collect whilst questing :)

Honestly the gap between 690 and 289 is not that big due to diminishing returns.

This game mostly relies on skills and the ability to slice/animation cancel macro your abilities.

Next is gear, after that is CP.

I suggest rolling EP as they own all IC 90% of the time then you will be safe to roam solo, I just farmed Tel for an hour with my Guildy who was lvl 10 and me CP 200 something. Easy peasy.

    Have fun!

Aldmeri Dominion (PC EU via Steam)

The cowardly Wood Elves are best noted for their unwillingness to engage in a face-to-face attack; a Bosmer will strike at you from every side except the front. You won't cross swords with a Bosmer, but you might catch an arrow in the throat. Be wary in forests and jungles, and watch your back.

The best way to farm tel var solo, if you have no experience, nor enjoy PvP, is to get in the campaign with the lowest population, enter IC, do the sewers, take the loss if you get killed.

Don't do the bosses, it takes forever and it's not worth it compared to running the sewers.

In addition to telvars, in the sewers, you can find trove scamps and chests for extra goodies, so, on top of that, you can also make money.

But don't worry too much about it, after the update there will be a lot of PvErs farming them, so you will be able to find a zerg to join for safety in numbers.

As much as it pains me to say, because it's the reason people like me can't enjoy some decent PvP, the safest bet is to join a large group with multiple healers.

Also, if your low on CP, join a no CP campaign. It's going to be more difficult because you will have less resources, less sustain, and less mitigation, but if you meet another player won't matter much if they are CP 690, you'll be on an even playfield. That said, they will most likely kill you anyways, because on an even playfield the player with the most experience wins (unless you're a stam warden).

Other than that, before going into the sewers, go to Cyrodiil, do some PvP, cap a keep if you can, or some resources, then, when you have a bit of AP, go to your base and buy a Sigil of Imperial Retreat. You can't buy it with Tel Var, you need AP, but it doesn't cost much.

You can't use the sigil in combat, and it's a long channel, so make sure you're safe and won't be interrupted when you're using it, but if you find yourself with a lot of tel var, deep in the sewers, and you fear you will lose them, you can pop the sigil to teleport to your base. It works from anywhere in IC, but it's a consumable, so use it wisely (unless you have plenty of AP to spend).

Lastly, make sure you always have at least 200 tel var when you start your round. The more tel var you have, the more you earn.
