PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!. Outfit slots not being accountwide is ridiculous given their price. PC EU/PC NA roleplayer and solo PvE quester
One that I play on a regular, daily basis. Two more than I play part time, but one of them is just for farming Transmutation thingies on low level dungeons.
Down from a small army of them across more than one account, the majority of which have been deleted, and the rest shelved but ready to delete.
18, 3 of every class with Hybrid, Stamina, and Magicka builds. I refuse to do a second account, I'm nearing 2100 CP and I'm not gathering more companion gear. Current plan to make a Hybrid and Stamina Arcanist.
I got so many characters my awnser isnot in the poll
I just counted them up i have 84, some of them i use for storage so there are practical reasons. Other than that its just me being able to make different characters for different things/aspects of the game.

The thing is.... these people show up in my mind, fully formed, with name, origin, clothing, mount, pet, and rationale for "being". And then they poke at me until I create them in game.

Just finished levelling up my 6th. I don't add one too often as I like to make sure I give them all some real playtime. I love them all. Pretty sure #7 will be Arcanist.
Currently, 9. I actively play 3, my stam warden main, my stam sorc, and my magplar. I also have another maxed templar, two maxed NBs and a maxed DK, then a low level necromancer and a low level warden that I was making into an ice mage before I lost interest. I have one spare slot to try Arcanist when it comes out.
- My main, the warden, is a bleed build.
- My sorc I remade to test the wrecking blow buff and is a fun solo build.
- My templar is my old main that I've had since 2015. I stopped playing it due to the jabs change, but continued with it recently without jabs by using Elemental Weapon. Works fine, no longer main it though.
- My OTHER templar is my first character, day 1 of launch. He's a master crafter.
- My two NBs were ones I played before and slightly after the Marrowind expansion. There were some NB changes back then that made it much more complicated to play, so I no longer enjoy playing them unfortunately.
- Made a DK at a similar time as my first character. It's leveled, but I never really liked DK so I never played much of it. Made a build for a while with dark elf, grothdar, and silks of the sun back when dunmer had a fire damage buff and silks was meta, but didn't play much after that.
- Don't like necromancer's playstyle so I stopped leveling it. I'll probably get it to 50 someday.
- Might delete the ice mage for a second arcanist if I enjoy that class like I think I might.
Nine of which I play one at time and the rest do crafting writs when I bother with that. I occasionally switch the 'main'. I likely would have less chars if not the horse feeding timegate blues which 'encourages' to make characters in advance just in case.
I tend to play one char. I don't understand people who create so many just because there are slots and when some new class is added, they complain there aren't enough slots.
But hey, there are many ways to enjoy the game. I usually like to do as much as possible with one char, so doing the same with alts is very time consuming, so that's why I focus on one char or two.
I would like if ZOS will add a class change token (which I guess is very unlikely, but so were faction changes in WoW )

Have one full account, so 18 level 50 characters. Would never start a second account, as that account would not contain everything I've earned and bought. We need many more character slots!!
All of them are characters I play, but I usually focus on just one at a time. And finish the alliance they are working on at that time, before moving on to the next character and the next alliance to complete. As I do not rush through things, completing a zone takes me quite a while, a full alliance even longer. Only four of my characters are still at Cadwell's silver, all others are at gold or higher. So one of those four is what I am playing right now(to gold), the next one will be one of the three Cadwell's silver's left. Once every character is at gold, I will start finishing the entire Cadwell's questline on them. (This way I always have something to do in-game)
All of my characters have atleast two armory specs, and one of them is a tank spec. So I have 18 tanks now. Last week I specced my last character to tank. Which I am still slowly working on, by doing a random dungeon when I feel like it.
Also, all of my characters are atleast excavation level 7 now(only three of these were done in Artaeum, four are level 10 ). And have all their crafting skilltrees maxed, including 9-traits researched. All of my characters have all four companions unlocked as well.
So this is quite a fleshed out account. Allowing me to do/play whatever I feel like at that time.
PS: Did the crafting dailies last week on all of them, and was able to finish my second house with all set crafting stations.
Currently 9, which 3 is in heavy use, 1 used every now and then and 1 used rarely.
My main is a stam sorc, I do trials with my stamcro, I practice with my magDK and do sometimes RNDs with my mag sorc. Rarely I use my DK tank to do RNDs with guildies, if I feel like I'd want to get 5th RND reward.
At the moment I have 4. I recently deleted a bunch in an effort to reduce how much time I spend on ESO - not that I've stopped liking it or anything, it's just the only game I played when I had time. I wanted to free time to play other games... so I deleted some and took a bit of a break to play Hogwarts and REmake 4. Almost finished, so I'll be back to ESO soon.
I have 12, some of which are on NA which is not my main server but I use to keep my extra/minor OCs on for fun as well as 3 of my main OCs just in case they shut EU down but leave NA up

I now have 2 characters I consider alts, a thief character I had made early on, and a character similar to my main that is now parked for just a certain daily quest. I may work on a BG character.
I have more characters, but they were crafting writ alts, and I have shelved them (parked in a house) as I really have no need for the gold anymore and it was not fun to just log them in for that. To make them a playable character involves too much (i.e., skill points, certain skill lines, wanting to switch alliances and such). I don't consider this an alt friendly game.
I only want to play one character, but if I totally invested in one class/spec, I'd rage quit at the next 'combat update' because of the shifting sands foundation upon which we build our characters. Rather than quit though, I embraced the following solution:
My characters actually 'are' each other. I've been playing the same little wood elf since 2007 (Oblivion at that time), through Skyrim and into ESO. She mastered time travel long ago so chronology/era-hopping is of no concern to her. She wakes up in the morning and decides whether to grab her staves or bows and moves among the differing versions of herself (magplar, magsorc, stamsorc…) as easily as she changes hairstyles or costumes. Each version of her looks identical and has only minimal different modifiers to her base name (Buffy).
I won't be making any more variants as I already have two or three that, after a good fair checkout, are not what I want and I'm not interested in building up a new one (horse skills, MG, FG, Undaunted, Psijic, etc). So until class change tokens are a thing, no new ones for me.
