I grew up typing to communicate in games and won't be changing that habit.

I used to have Discord when I did trials, I then stopped playing ESO for a long time, but I don´t have Discord atm since I broke my microphone headphones and can´t afford a proper replacement at this time.
I did recently join a guild that does veteran trials though, I told the guild leader I didn´t have any voice chat, and he said it was fine, but I should get it just to listen in during trials.
And it´s not every guild.
I mostly rely on Discord for seeing things like the current endeavors, pledges, luxury furnishings, and golden vendor items. Aside from endeavors, there's no one in-game place that reports that all to me. So in interest of time, I check Discord. I also use it at times for coordinating group activities, especially trials, or getting build feedback. I keep notifications to a minimum to avoid distractions.

I think I started using voice coms online in like 2001 or 2002 with Counter Strike. You cant play and type at the same time, so voice coms are objectively superior in any type of team based gaming.
Not saying you have to use them, but I also am guessing you arent pushing the hardest content in a group setting either.

I don't remember any voice communication when I started playing Ultima Online in 1997. We had a text chat called ICQ because there was not a good way to communicate in game, but no voice.
We also used IRC (Internet Relay Chat), another text based program that groups could chat in.
What i try to say was: It's 100% better, easy and fast find people to play the game in discord then ingame. Why?
Why can't developers make something ingame to find people in some easy way!? i dont know, but something like a global shout maybe?!
