Login issues (PC/EU) after the last patch maintenance

While logging in via launcher, it freezes before the character screen (Eso logo stops spinning). Tried repair, updating, removing addons and saved variables etc.. nothing seems to work. Anyone else having issues?

Yep, something/message about problem with decompression. Having to run the repair as launcher won't let me do anything else.0

RichardSeekerSoul ShrivenSame issue here (freeze before the character screen, eso logo is not spinning). Tried different means and even redownloaded and reinstalled the entire game. Still does not work.
Found this in the Logs folder. Maybe it can be of any help (though, it looks like the game has successfully switched state from the Login to Character Selection, finished waiting until everything loads and tried to hide loader but apparently without success).

Meowzette✭✭I've tried all the suggestions on this thread to no avail and submitted the DxDiagnostic report as requested and am waiting for a solution.
Two different PCs in this house with identical login failures. We're now trying installs on laptops to see if the launcher fails on those too.0 -

I had this kind of freezing in the past.
What I found is I need to disable Windows Defender or other antivirus, "real-time protection" option, after a patch, before to start the laucher.
Without that, the game can freeze either when you press the 'play' button in the launcher and enter your data to log in, or after in the character selection screen. Sometimes you have also unzip errors or patch manifest errors in the launcher.
By desactivate the antivirus at each first connection after a patch, I didn't have these issues for a long time.0 -
