After rereading your post, I'm going to assume that if vet hard mode is cleared, you think the gear drops should be better in comparison to a regular vet clear.

Some DLC dungeons on hard mode really hurt like a *insert expletive,* so I don't see why not.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I think delve bosses have to drop gold items too. It is literally hardmode, if I kill them without a companion.

Gold upgraders would pretty much lose their value, because everyone would just spam some easy base game dungeons and farm those mats.

I started playing this game in Beta, one of the things that attracted me was "The best gear in the game will be Crafted"...

Then around 2016 there was a person with Zos/Bethesda that was pushing that better (gold) gear should be dropping from things, and I for one complained because that would directly refute the original promise that the best gear in the game would be crafted. (2016 QuakeCon, the year of Jason's Hair lest you need reminding.)

Please note that while some gold jewelry can be gained in Vet Trials and from the Golden Vendor, Gear is Purple (Epic)...

The best gear in the game is still made by crafters, even if that is only upgrading it to Legendary Status (Gold) and I for one think it should remain that way, take the time to level your crafter up, then you can gold up your own gear.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most...

Because people would farm FG1 HM and tank the value of gold mats.

I would not be opposed to a small chance to drop a gold helm or jewelry, but a guaranteed drop would be a bad idea. Now to be clear, I do think we need some downward pressure on gold mat prices, but this would open an easy pipeline to gold mats.

For the simple reason that HM already gives a greatly increased reward, guaranteed motif if doing DLC dungeons and 2x style page drop rate if one is dropping for that dungeon. Giving gold gear would devalue the gold mats since you could deconstruct them.

As others have said people would just farm a bunch of the easiest dungeons hard modes, for the gold upgrade mats to sell or use themselves, not much point refining if you can decon and get a load of gold mats instead.

I might be wrong but you only need to get the HM achievement once to get increased chance at the style page, once you clear once you get the HM drop chance on regular vet. I believe a mod confirmed this.

    Style page != motif page.

Every vet dungeon comes with a crafting motif. You have about a 1% or so chance of getting a motif page on normal, about 50% chance on vet, and it's guaranteed on Hard Mode. These are the purple pages.

The mask style pages are the gold ones and are only in the outfit station. IIRC the rate is about a 2.5% on vet and 5% if you have the HM achievement, but only when the respective arms pack is available in the Crown Store.

Still requires that first HM clear and that's a massive reward & more than enough reward for anyone looking to make money off dungeons.

First, I agree that FG1 would be the ultimate gold mat farm. But as a counterpoint, you can do the same with vHRC and vAA farms for gold jewelry mats and get gold mats from daily crafting writs.

The idea of a gold monster helm for HM is an idea I fully support.

Especially HM DLC dungeons need better drops. I'd suggest more undaunted keys.
    Normal 1 key
    Vet 2 keys
    Vet HM 3 keys.

Also I don't see the problem with making the helm gold. Have you seen the price of gold upgrade mats recently? Its insane! Reducing the price of gold upgrade mats by increasing supply is a great idea. Maybe just make the helm that drops on the first clear gold - that would stop vFGhm farms.
