For the simple reason that HM already gives a greatly increased reward, guaranteed motif if doing DLC dungeons and 2x style page drop rate if one is dropping for that dungeon. Giving gold gear would devalue the gold mats since you could deconstruct them.Normal mode purple HM gold…..Why not..?

I might be wrong but you only need to get the HM achievement once to get increased chance at the style page, once you clear once you get the HM drop chance on regular vet. I believe a mod confirmed this.

I might be wrong but you only need to get the HM achievement once to get increased chance at the style page, once you clear once you get the HM drop chance on regular vet. I believe a mod confirmed this.

I would not be opposed to a small chance to drop a gold helm or jewelry, but a guaranteed drop would be a bad idea. Now to be clear, I do think we need some downward pressure on gold mat prices, but this would open an easy pipeline to gold mats.
