It's not. If it was immersive, then it would be heavily armored, lightly armored, and unarmored, which would serve the same purpose and just be a name change to make it more accurate to what it is.

We live in a world of magic. Just because you can't see the protection doesn't mean the protection isn't there. We don't know what kind of wards are cast on that wedding dress all the cool Orcs wear.
i was just thinking of how weird it was to have a "medium" armor skill line as that is typically what light armor is...
so i figured it would be more immersive to put all of the "light" armor in the same category.... the heavier cloth armor and lighter cloth armor.... because anything that offers any resistance could be considered armor imo...
its not a necessity for the game it was just an idea for looks...

Ok. then Heavily Armored, Lightly Armored, and Magically Armored.
