muh armor concept for immersion

this concept merges the light and medium armor skill lines into one
so there would only be heavy and light armor skill lines

drawbacks
increases block cost
decreases damage with bash
reduces sneak cost, block cost, and damage taken from aoe (you can see the values in the stat sheet when equipping pieces)
increases movement speed

passives
dexterity: increases crit potency and crit chance per piece of medium light.. increases penetration and damage per piece of extra light..
concentration: decreases cost of abilities
Agility: increases movement speed bonus of sprint and reduces roll dodge cost per piece of extra light armor... reduces damage from area effects per piece of medium light armor.
Spell warding: any light or medium light armor piece grants you small extra resistance to spell damage..
Grace: increases all recovery by a small amount per piece of light armor

It's not. If it was immersive, then it would be heavily armored, lightly armored, and unarmored, which would serve the same purpose and just be a name change to make it more accurate to what it is.

We live in a world of magic. Just because you can't see the protection doesn't mean the protection isn't there. We don't know what kind of wards are cast on that wedding dress all the cool Orcs wear.

Ok. then Heavily Armored, Lightly Armored, and Magically Armored.

i was just thinking of how weird it was to have a "medium" armor skill line as that is typically what light armor is...

so i figured it would be more immersive to put all of the "light" armor in the same category.... the heavier cloth armor and lighter cloth armor.... because anything that offers any resistance could be considered armor imo...

its not a necessity for the game it was just an idea for looks...

Personally, I find having only light and heavy to be less immersive. It bothers me whenever I play TES 5 in particular. I know now that light armor = medium armor and robes = light armor but it was not intuitive to me because I feel like an armored mage and a sneak archer wouldn't both wear light armor.

or going oldchool, Heavy Armor, Medium Armor, Light Armor, and No Armor (would say magical armor, but No Armor skill line was all about martial techniques to minimize damage received, so no magic inclinations there....)

just FYI, you just defined every piece of functional clothing as armor there.
