Please add Quality of Life changes for Resource Surveys in the next PTS patch

It has been asked for so long, but sadly unanswered: The Survey system in ESO is extremely time-consuming and it is also extremely clunky imbedded.

Right now stacked resource surveys can only be harvested by finishing one and then either riding away and coming back an unspecified distance or by porting out and back in. Also resource surveys can cluttering our inventory and are becoming more and more with each released chapter.

I have a few suggestions:
1.) Add the Survey maps to the ESO+ Crafting Bag to reduce the strain on our inventory
2.) When harvesting a FULL survey area, make it respawn immediately if you still have a survey map in your inventory.
3.) Put the different nodes in each survey area closer together where applicable. Currently nodes in High Isle are the most far away from each other i have ever seen.

Please, don't let another huge patch go live without adressing the Surveys! :s

to go along with that, it would also be nice to make them sellable like treasure maps, so for those who dont enjoy or dont want to do them, they arent forced to destroy them (or let them consume space)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

It would be nice too but the sheer silence in this thread is pretty much showing how much ZOS gives on it.

Being able to do an entire stack of surveys at once would be so much nicer than the current "Ride up, harvest, ride away for a minute and come back." That is the only change I want. I don't mind travelling all over the place for different surveys, and while putting them in crafting bag would be nice I don't think its necessary.

But instant refresh/stacking nodes to drop larger quantities at once? Yes please

If not instant harvesting for stacks I would like to see better respawns on them. Sellable might be interesting but I expect it will destabilise the economy for mats quite a bit.

Glad, I am not the only one wishing for some changes. Lets try to keep this thread up and hope the Devs will see it. :*

While we're at it, why not ask for stackable treasure maps that can be put in guild banks? :)

It would really be nice if treasure maps would stack like survey maps do. Also - why can't they be put in guild banks? They can be put in personal banks, traded, sold, mailed - everything except put in guild banks.

I agree on the surveys. It'd be great if they were tradable. I know a lot of people just destroy them for space. My housemate absolutely loves treasure maps - many of our friends give or trade theirs to her, who would otherwise destroy them. She'd love to accept unloved surveys also, if only that was possible.

Our trade guild accepts treasure maps as donations, too (thus the request for being able to put them in the guild bank, and stack them). We auction them off - often to my housemate. Surveys? Same would apply. Many people would love to get rid of them. They'd go to fund the trader, and everybody would be happy!

I would suggest being very careful about what you ask or wish for.

For example, recall maps and what was asked for with those: stackable, more 'relevant'... From which we have maps as part of a horrible multi-layer rng for motifs. And still not stackable.

To be fair I'd like improvements to the survey maps, too, I am just very wary about what we as players request and eventually have to sometimes suffer through.

    I think they're fine as-is tbh.

The simplest change would be to have the maps be for one zone instead of across most of the zones. It would lead to the fastest and easiest claiming of the surveys and would greatly reduce inventory space for hoarders of surveys without having to move them to the crafting bag which only serves ESO+.

This renders moot the first and last suggestion made above.

That makes no sense. The issue is storage, not where they are maps for.

Maybe something to do with the Hirelings passives in the crafting skill lines.

Something like, once a day, send a hireling out to get the survey and the mats are mailed to you the next day. Maybe 1 survey of each type, per character that has the hireling passives, per day.

Lots of games have a system like that. Assassin's Creed Black Flag, had ships you could send out and receive supplies the next day, Fortnite Save the world mode has something similar.

It wouldn't have to be anything in depth, just click on a survey and the option to "Give to Hireling"

Also, Blacksmith hireling could handle Jewelry surveys and the Provisioning hireling could handle Alchemy surveys since there aren't any provisioning surveys and no Alchemy hireling.
