It would be acceptable if they turned around and said, Sorry but after much consideration, we decided to cancel our plans to move the EU server to EU. That's not the case... but it would certainly be acceptable.

@Nooblet
This is acceptable practice, is it really?I'd consider it a bit of a p*sstake tbh...
Oh well - C'est La Vie!

This is not a QQ thread, this is a straight up thread request to move the EU server to the EU asap. We've held your hand for a month but now it's time for you to start acting. Do you have any idea what it's like to press mouse1 and the animation not start for an entire second after the button is pressed?
Do you have any idea what it's like to get "disconnected for spamming" every 15 minutes? Do you know what it's like to go into a dungeon, get 0 response from the server for 20 seconds and then when you finally regain connection, you're dead.
Move the EU server to the EU so we can actually enjoy the game. This should be treated as immediate priority. Who in their right mind would ever choose to play on a server on the other side of the planet? I, along with so many others have been so patient with you, we can understand bugs, crashes, glitches ect, it's the nature of initial release mmo's, it's to be expected with 30GB+ of game. What's not expected and what you cannot ask us to "put up with" is lag... lag to the point where the game is miserable for us to play.
What were you thinking putting the server on the other side of the planet! The internet only has a finite speed and it doesn't help with the server being 4000 odd miles away. Our data must be going through hundreds of exchange points which has to process all our requests and then those requests have to travel all the way back.
No mmo can ever be designed to be played from the other side of the planet. It's simple... I press a button, I expect an animation almost immediately, and instead I see it a whole second later.
It's simply not acceptable and unlike the bots, I don't think we will wait for months on end before you finally act because unlike bots, lag makes the game unplayable and your game will crash before it's even lifted off the ground.
Don't be lazy, don't be cheap, respect your customers and do what you know we deserve. I assure you I am not alone on this matter. It simply cannot wait any longer.

Just so you know we on the NA server deal with ability lag all the time. It's not game breaking but it does happen.

Sweet jesus, someone gets it. The people that say distance has nothing to do with it are as clueless as they come....ImaginaryDimension wrote: »Whether it is soley the server location could be argued, I'm not a network designer, I don't have access to their data but you don't need to have access to that information to make very simple calculations.
Our requests have to travel (at the speed of light in fibre) through dozens of exchange points, across thousands of miles of land and ocean to the server, the server then processes that request and sends the response back.
Even if it takes 300m/s to complete the trip, this is still unaccpable delays and it is noticeable when you're trying to pvp or where you're pressing a lot of skills very quickly.
I cannot even tell you the amount of times I've tried to heal someone and I know I pressed my heal before they died, yet they died before my heal activated. If the problem is server architecture then they need to hire some professionals to come in and fix the problem.
What they're hoping for is that like the bots, we will just give up complaining in the end and they can sweep it under the rug. We'll their run is getting so full they can barely stand on it.
We did not give up with the bot threads and we should not give up with server threads. *** will NEVER get done unless we make it absolutely clear that we DO NOT accept this sort of stuff.
This is their first mmo which is why I think we've been so patient with ZOS. We are human afterall and we do understand *** breaks an *** goes wrong, but we also expect that you fix the problems as soon as possible. Not wait until you have a billion threads on the forums until you decide to act.
Also to the guy who said he was unsure whether to bump the tread. I'm so pleased you did decided to post, the more people that post, the less they can sweep this under the rug.
Nothing exists outside of the US for a lot of them, lol.stefaan.de.wasch1b16_ESO wrote: »we "all" clicked the accept button when we made our accounts, and it "did" say that the servers would be located on US soil and be moved to Europe at some (not specified) future point... Fun fact: EU has different laws than the US.
Over here you must define the contract BEFORE the payment is made.
As this box was shown AFTER the payment it has no legal weight in the EU.
This kind of contract that says that they can change every detail in the future is not valid over here... every TOS that is INSIDE the box is not valid.
The advertisement said "EU server".
We understand they want to save a bit money... but it´s one month now.
And YES that´s a first world problem and I am thankful I have those instead of real ones.

Nowhere did they state a timeline as to "when" the servers would be moved.
And bringing in "Laws"... well, I've seen people do that since DAoC and it got old pretty fast and well... but good luck trying to get them inforce. It'll end up costing you more then the game. Throwing the term "LAW" out there is always a clear sign of weakness in the history of MMORPG's... I'll call my lawyer...
Well, here's a number...
i just died again because of lag....
im not going to pay for this

You were the one that started with the TOS legalise, so I have no idea why you're being so hypocritical to the poster here, it's quite frankly ridiculous.
