Agreed. They take so long to adjust these sets too.

Next up: snake in the stars

    Because they eventually got adjusted.

It really is obnoxious as they seem to try to balance things with them and create bigger problems. Or they want something like Rush if Agony (even though that's a PvE set I guess?) to be interesting so make it not grant CC immunity like every other hard CC including pulls when that rule is there to preserve fun gameplay.

I was hoping the change on content to bug fixes and the major chapter would mean less, but it appears not.

The problem is they keep making sets meant to kill ball groups, but the ball groups end up using them as well.

I think maybe zos figures that sets = content, so this is their easy way to be give pvp "content" without really devoting much time/effort.

Then there is Dark Convergence, which has such a ridiculous mechanic as it's basis that even after being "adjusted" it's still so widely run that every major fight sees it being thrown out every couple of seconds.

It’s probably less effort to copy/paste some areas of a new dungeon into a bg map template and push out a new map every other patch, but we haven’t gotten a new one in years. There’s no way new maps would contribute to performance issues either.

Dark Convergence the worst set ever. It’s just so obnoxious and does too much for a proc.

It's actually funny that they take so much time with balancing classes and than they just ruin everything by introducing another broken set.

Are they actually meant to kill ball groups?

My impression was that the PvP slanted items and skills are primarily aimed at enabling players in coordinated groups and varying the experience for them.

I think the purpose/motive for introducing new sets is to sell new content. Wild reach, I know.

I, too, am burned out on the cycle of introducing overpowered sets/mythics then adjusting them after months of crappy combat.

But that’s the game. It was particularly apparent & egregious with the intro version of the Oakensoul ring, which was nerfed ~30 days after release. That felt really cheap & exploitative.
