Spiked Bone Shield morph should cost Magicka.

Since the recent announcement of giving HP scaling to sorcerer's shield, warden, necromancer and nightblade classes remain without an HP-based damage shield for tanking purposes.

A request to the devs to convert resource used for Spiked Bone Shield to magicka so this morph will be used more widely. Spiked Bone Shield is the other morph. Bone Surge still costs Stamina.

the only other stamina abilities that have a dmg shield component are 2h cleave (and morphs), and shielded assault morph of the gap closer in 1h/shield

i was not considering cleave/morphs or shielded assault because those are secondary effects of another skill and not a dedicated dmg shield

those skills also require a specific weapon type

a magicka based character that is running support will likely not be using a 1h/shield or 2h for access to those skills

and another downside of the shielded assault is it requires a target that will force you to gap close, and not ideal for all situations

Hybridization.

Having two complementary things where one costs magicka, one stamina, doubles your resource pool and regen. You almost want a even split on your skill bar.

yeah bone surge is the worse morph of the 2 by a longshot

this skill should stay full stamina as there are other magicka shield options

What options are you talking about for the said classes based on magicka which scales from HP? Necromancer has none, Warden has a projectile shield, not a damage shield. Nightblade has none. This is for tanking i am talking about.

There is another stamina damage shield besides bone shield. And I don't mean what was already mentioned. Defensive posture/absorb missile.

There is another magicka one too that non-sorcs can use bit it requires 5 light.

I think it's reasonable to make one of the HP scaling ones cost magicka. Only one morph though, as suggested. Seems fair-- why not?
