And it's not a joke? EU simply skips the last day of the event and as always, ZOS will do nothing in return - no extension, no bonus. It's in their spirit. Yesterday, ALL DAY long, there was not even a BIG banner with a maintenance warning IN THE GAME, because you have to watch it on the forum in order to get up very early to get into the 3-hour window (it's just ridiculous).
I am upset with this attitude, because I lost 2 tickets due to the company's disregard for the players. It's just a blatant statement so that you should buy it for crowns.
PS defenders and those who will convince that everything is normal with EU maintenance, please do not report here

maintenance should NOT be happening on the last day of the event, and this is something that has been pointed out to ZoS ad nauseum and yet... here we are...

No, PC NA has no maintenance today.

Um, what? The servers are literally down right now on PC/NA and have been for several hours. I am hoping they come back up in the next 30 minutes so I can somehow get the last two tickets but I'm not holding my breath.

Did the same, log on just after reset and handed in the two quest I had saved from the day before.I did 2 dailies yesterday and after reset bought another group repair kit and turned dailies in for full 12 tickets.
Do I understand correctly that there is no schedule for complex technical work and every time the maintenance comes suddenly? So suddenly that it is simply impossible to reschedule the event?there likely are third party specialists involved that have their own tight schedule

Not holding my breath but I think that anyone on the EU Server that didn't manage to log-on before maintenance should be recompensed.
Also, a questions to the developers reading here: why run a maintenance knowing that there is an Event still happening? Couldn't it have waited a day/12 hours?

Maintenance during EU day time can't really be avoided. Someone from ZOS needs to do be available in case of problems, and someone on site need to clean the hamster cage. You don't want some tired night-shift guy search the neighborhood for an escaped hamster.
What can be avoided is doing it on the last day of an event, but this time is different, since AFIK the new server hardware is installed today, meaning there likely are third party specialists involved that have their own tight schedule.
The guy who starts maintenance at 4am comes in early and when maintenance ends at 10 am everyone is already in office for 1-2 hours. When something goes wrong, they have 6+ hours left to fix stuff, before they even have to think about overtime.NA seems to manage OK with tired night-shift guys searching for hamsters.
