EU event ended early - go and buy tickets for crowns

And it's not a joke? EU simply skips the last day of the event and as always, ZOS will do nothing in return - no extension, no bonus. It's in their spirit. Yesterday, ALL DAY long, there was not even a BIG banner with a maintenance warning IN THE GAME, because you have to watch it on the forum in order to get up very early to get into the 3-hour window (it's just ridiculous).
I am upset with this attitude, because I lost 2 tickets due to the company's disregard for the players. It's just a blatant statement so that you should buy it for crowns.
PS defenders and those who will convince that everything is normal with EU maintenance, please do not report here

It's not 'disregard for the players', but it is 'disregard for the EU players'.
But there are already several topics about this, you know ...

I'm from the EU, and yes I'm crying too
Maintenance during day time, should be considered a crime
Now I gotta wait, for the server to reset
Bye event tickets, so many regrets

It's totally fine. Do they do maintenance while we are playing? Simple answer. We have saved up golds, so we will turn them into crowns in the guilds.

you all realize that EVERYONE's event ended early, right? a lot of US people hop on in the morning to get those last day tickets as well.

maintenance should NOT be happening on the last day of the event, and this is something that has been pointed out to ZoS ad nauseum and yet... here we are...

It was, it is so silly, stoopid and pointless to state in the event's description, that the event would end at 16:00 utc.
Every year, i mean EVERY YEAR, they set a massive maintenance that makes impossible the last day of event, even tho they set its beginning and ending, even tho they have the rigth to do whatever they want, whenever they want.
And i bet this maintenance will possibly bring another, in 24 hours more or less...

huh, I got a maintenance pop up and a message from a guildie (from US server) in discord about maintenance. /goes to check again huh...

I guess only half my characters are SOL... joy.
    doesn't excuse Tuesday maintenance though.

Um, what? The servers are literally down right now on PC/NA and have been for several hours. I am hoping they come back up in the next 30 minutes so I can somehow get the last two tickets but I'm not holding my breath.

No, they’re not. Maintenance is tomorrow.

Maintenance during EU day time can't really be avoided. Someone from ZOS needs to do be available in case of problems, and someone on site need to clean the hamster cage. You don't want some tired night-shift guy search the neighborhood for an escaped hamster.

What can be avoided is doing it on the last day of an event, but this time is different, since AFIK the new server hardware is installed today, meaning there likely are third party specialists involved that have their own tight schedule.

I guess they took the servers down for a few hours for US in solidarity with EU or something? who the heck even knows anymore...

I was really hoping to get those last 2 tickets in my EU girl, grab 2 pages of the event style as well, since the drop rates did NOT favor me :/

I couldn't sleep so I wound up doing them on reset but yeah. This should flat out never happen. ZOS need to stop taking EU servers offline at such player-unfriendly times.

I'm not sure where people are getting the idea NA servers were down. I've been logged in the past 5 hours on NA (mostly afk) but I haven't been kicked once and I've seen plenty of other people on. Maybe just login troubles for some people?

I’m wondering the same thing. I mean, I’m getting constant disconnects but that’s because I play from SE Asia and for the past two weeks everyone I’ve spoken to in the region has had severe connection issues with PC NA and tickets aren’t being responded to... But have not seen any server downtime.

Did the same, log on just after reset and handed in the two quest I had saved from the day before.

But many can not because they has to leave before reset, its 7:00 for me.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Sigh. I get that ZOS has schedules and people that have to do this work, but it seems to me that they could have took one for the team and waited 6 hours.

Originally, events ended on Mondays, but they ended up extending it into Tuesdays to cover for people coming home late from work etc. So the entirety of Monday night and Tuesday are already effectively a grace period.

You can also easily get all event reward items even if you skip a few days or even an entire event.

Yeah it can be annoying but it's not worth getting so worked up over.

I wrote a Ticket about it only to be told that:

"Currently Customer Support has no information related to compensation for the maintenance for the EU/PC server.
We recommend reviewing the patch notes once the maintenance has concluded.
    "

Not holding my breath but I think that anyone on the EU Server that didn't manage to log-on before maintenance should be recompensed.

Also, a questions to the developers reading here: why run a maintenance knowing that there is an Event still happening? Couldn't it have waited a day/12 hours?

Do I understand correctly that there is no schedule for complex technical work and every time the maintenance comes suddenly? So suddenly that it is simply impossible to reschedule the event?

And the last question (not for you, but for ZOS) - why is it impossible to warn about the upcoming server shutdown in advance when starting the client (not 15 minutes, but 1-2 days in advance)? Why can't this information be added to the news within the game (Esc-News or special capture)?

I will be satisfied if they just let the Impresario stay for one more day so I could exchange my tickets for the last style page I still miss (if I had known, I would have done that yesterday).

NA seems to manage OK with tired night-shift guys searching for hamsters.

Someone on another post pointed out they've known for ages that this maintenance would be today, but they still chose to schedule the event to end when they could have had it a week earlier or something.

The guy who starts maintenance at 4am comes in early and when maintenance ends at 10 am everyone is already in office for 1-2 hours. When something goes wrong, they have 6+ hours left to fix stuff, before they even have to think about overtime.

4-10 am UTC would be 11pm-5am EST so there'd be a 3-4 hours window where the lone night shift guy at the US office has to try to convince folks to come to work early.

10pm - 4am UTC / 5-11 pm EST would be even worse, with both offices having only a skeleton crew that just wants to go home once the patch is done. (And US and EU maintenance would need to be done at different times, or the forums would burn.)
