    Maintenance today, maintenance tomorrow....

I wonder if ZOS will ever do night time maitenance like they do in NA - rather than syncing EU to NA.....

    2 days no game - 2 days after I got ESO+ again.

    EU megaservers for maintenance – February 7, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 17:00 UTC (12:00PM EST)
    EU megaservers for patch maintenance – February 8, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 15:00 UTC (10:00AM EST)

So today, last event day, we are getting an awesome EIGHT hours maintenance and tomorrow - another one for SIX hours?

Are you sure there is no typos?

That is one of the differences... if it involved PC/NA there would by now be a 18 page thread of voices dissenting to various degrees, even though the bulk of the maintenance would take place while most players in that server were asleep.

However is PC/EU so is kind of... just happening. Nothing to see here, move along.

Keep calm and carry on if you will.

I am missing two event tickets to get that lily thingy pet (yes, I am behind, should have been getting the first morph item) so you're telling me that I won't be able to and that I'm screwed forever?

No you aren't. If you can't get on before the servers go down tomorrow you will be able to collect pieces for the pet in the next event, as it is this years morphable

    And what if not?
I werent able to get in game before this INCREDIBLE LONG maintenance.
Wanna gift me two missing tickets?

Live event should be prolonged for at least 1 full day at the EU server.

Just adding another angry and disappointed voice to this thread. What strikes me the most is why is it so long? And why cant it be done at the same dime, patch application and server maintenance. I guess its shortage of employees or some other type of optimization.

Please extend the even for us!

I don't work for ZOS but I do work in the Software industry and I know how difficult it is to schedule releases and patches. A lot of planning has to go into them and considerations have to be made about aspects of the Upgrade / Patch that most of us are quite oblivious to.

That said, yes - I agree that ZOS could be a little more considerate in their approach, although I don't think they particularly mistreat EU players as much as some people think. It might be purely based on the number of players US v EU - not sure where the higher fan base would be.

All that said, it seems to me the 'easiest' way of avoiding all this would have been to end the Event a day sooner?

Imagine the new players who just bought the game when they try to log in and the game is down for 2 days.

    Just compare:
US: ONE day and ONE hour in it
    vs
EU: TWO days and FOURTEEN hours in total

    is like: whaaaat?

What's more annoying is there is nothing on the maintenance forum informing us what is happening.

If it is the pre-work for server upgrades please tell us.

    Ah, missed that.

Would be good if a link to that thread was added to the maintenance page.

They rly can make some more effort to maintenance announcing.
Agree with what you wrote... If they can add some link for something they could add link for that...

That got my attention too, I don't think I've ever seen two days in a row for maintenance before.

It is not the first time this happens.
I'm sure that when they plan those maintenances they consider many important factors.
But I really can't understand why players aren't one of them.
How many times did we have this conversation ZOS? Still nothing changes?
Just don't do it on the last day of events. It is as simple as that.

Crazy that I'm going to miss 2 event tickets for not logging in between 6am and 9am on a weekday.

    I am frustrated too.
But what I can't explain to myself is: if ZOS knew (from 30th of january) today's long schedule, why they didn't plan the event to finish yesterday?
If ESO told me: you'll have 11 days' event, 22 tickets total, I would have appreciated more than what happened today.

Given that the Servers are being upgraded couldn't they simply run today maintenance and tomorrow's patch on the new servers and then switch the players to the new Servers in the night Wednesday to Thursday?

This way some of us loose two full days as well as any chance at additional boxes and 2 Event Tickets.

The servers are being upgraded *at some point in April, probably*
