Mist Form Outside of PVP

I would really love it if mist form could be made useful outside of pvp. My vampire character has been on the shelf for a while now. It's the only ability from the skill line I used to slot.

If the mitigation was being abused in trials, then please consider changing it into something else entirely -- e.g. a magicka gap closer or something. As long as it retains the vampire flavor, and is useful in both pvp and pve, I think players will be fine with that.

Oh wow I didn't realize the Damage Reduction was only against players. That's kind of Sucky. Maybe it should give Major Resolve & Ward while in Mist in PvE.

Yeah. They changed this a few patches ago. I assumed back then that it was a stopgap until they came up with something better, but it hasn’t been addressed at all. It just seems ridiculous to me that what many consider to be the defining skill of vampires in this game only works for a fraction of the content.

The most sad and funny part for me is that ZOS 3 or 4 years already doing "standardization and optimization" and they keep leave/create very unbalanced and not standardized skills. The biggest weight in power of Mist Form were 75% mitigation and someone just deleted it without any compensation, so Mist Form start to immensely stand out from their beloved "standardization" and they don't care. If they only did thier "standardization" right(some self calculated table or program according to "power weights" of skill properties) this mistake were immediately noticed and fixed almost in automatic mode, but it seems they didn't create one, and just recheck all skills in hand mode. And this leads to a long-term unbalanced skills like Mist Form or Stampede/Critical Rush(till latest patch).

In what fantasy setting does a vampire turn to mist in combat, then die almost instantly because they can’t do anything but take damage? Outside of pvp, entering mist form will actually make you more vulnerable and get you killed. It’s ludicrous!

    Tell me more about standardisation.

Corrosive Armor. Cost 200 ultimate. Lasts 12s. Gives almost Immortality + Up to 50% more damage (depending on target armor value) + PB AoE dot + Resources back on cast.

Bolstering darkness. Costs 200 ultimate. Snares enemies inside the area by 70% (DK has this on regular ability) and gives 10% damage reduction to you and your group members for 18s and major resolve only to you (depending on how many HA you have on you) for few seconds from passives.

    Totally balanced and standardized :)

I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

@Mayrael is correct here. The game has a long list of completely unusable skills. Few of them are getting some buffs to see the light of the day, but most of them stay untouched for years and years.

Necro-ing this post to say "Thank you" for the new implementation! While I haven't tested it yet, the description in the patch notes is exactly what I had in mind!
