Hi, skill placed on skillbar is greyed out

Unstable Wall of Elements IV working on skill bar 2, but when I place it on bar 1 is grey and not working at all. I cant make second set of skills.

Are you using a destruction staff on the first bar?

It only works on the bar that has a destruction staff.

If you're using a restoration staff on one bar, you won't be able to use wall of elements on that bar.

And, if you're wondering what use it is to slot a greyed out skill, you can use that to level the skill and it's associated weapon skill line, even though you're using a different weapon.
