Heres hoping the new feature is class change tokens.

They really really do need to be added because not everyone wants to grind multiple characters and alot of people just play 1 character only like me.

All of the arguments ive seen so far against class change tokens are built on a foundation of sand and have no merit.

That would be a lousy feature for players that are happy with their characters. I think it would be bad for the game but if it is added it would need to be in addition to the main feature.

I want new classes and weapon choices. Black Desert is awesome for the way they keep expanding and growing their roster. I'd love to see expansion in ESO as well...been a long time since we got Warden and Necro tbh.

I'm indifferent to class change token but if that's the main feature of this year I would be greatly disappointed.

Id love to change out my templars to another class without having to relevel everything, all the motifs they individually know, research done etc

one solution i thought of if people arent happy with their class would be being able to choose a limited number of skills and passives from another class to replace the ones they dont dont want.

It’s beyond me how something like a class change token is requested as a feature.

Y’all know that it’s a paid service for the Crown Store you would need to pay $30-50 for?

So how would this work, they announce a new Chapter with a $40 price tag and the main feature of said Chapter is a paid service that costs an additional $30-50? Like come on.

A class change token is not a feature. Period.

That would be more suited to a QoL update than the a new feature, but I think something like that would complete with the character slots and all the levelling shortcuts in the store, like skyshards, etc., so I don't think they would add it.

While I do agree Class Change tokens do need to be thing eventually, using it as the new feature for the next chapter would be and I'll be blunt, pretty stupid on their part.

And when they are all gone the Templar gets restored to their old glory so you can buy another token! It's glorious, think of all the cash they can make with their S.O.P. of wild balance changes!

I've said over and over... they will NEVER add a class change token unless it cost $300 or more... because that's what they'd be losing 'per character' that people spend on upgrading and leveling a new character. Do you not see the long list of 'upgrades' in the store... imagine if just spending $30 on a class change token all of that upgrade spending could be avoided; ZOS will never add features that cause them to lose money.

I don't know would they really talk up something you have to pay for to even use as a new feature/system?

Part of me thinks it will just be something like a further expansion/rework of the CP system.

I really want too, i want to change my class. I'm bored with my Warden. I want play a new gameplay.
Zos release new class but for play a new class you need to create a alt. I'm not a PvP player.
I just want continue main story and sides quest with another gameplay. I stoped played because bored

Now i'm connect for endeavor and few dungons only.

Yeah, even if that happened (not laying odds), it wouldn't remotely be the Big Feature of an expansion. They would get roasted so hard it would make the reaction to ToT seem overwhelmingly positive.

There have always been very good arguments against class change tokens, but since the switch to account-wide achievements there has been no real argument in favour of such tokens.

3 years (and 12 characters) ago I'd have said Yes, but with AWA there's no need to do everything on your main. If you want a Templar/DK/Necro etc just make one. The grind to 50 isn't that bad or long and the time taken to level skills gives you the chance to learn how to use them.

I'm pretty sure there would be so much rage on the forums if the feature for the year was just a... token lol

Yes , I'd love to have it in the game. But not as the MAIN feature for the upcoming content. It really needs to be just put into the game. But not as a feature. We need something a lot... more then that as the big feature addition to the game.

I don't think a class change token is even necessary. But, if they did add one, a crown store item definitely shouldn't be the chapter feature.

Not necessarily true though. Many players are already at the 18 character cap. And player who aren't are likely players who weren't going to pay for extra character slots, or even use the free extra ones, to begin with.

But me, someone who has had my main since 2016 when I first got the game. And had necros existed then, I would have chosen that over sorc. But I have zero intention of grinding the plans and motifs to make a Necro my main. 7 years of learning plans and motifs on one character is not a worthwhile thing to do again to shift my main.

But s class change would allow me to do so. And I'd still play my other 17 characters in PVP content or as tanks/healers in PVE like I already do. Just the character I complete every piece of content on would shift to a different class.

Never spent crowns on leveling up new alts. That is outside of that outfit would be perfect for her but would probably keep making an new alt every year anyway.
Now ZoS might loose engagement as fewer people are leveling alts.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If this is the new massive feature then ESO is gonna be on life support. This would be a slap in the face and further make this game full of egregious monetization. I use 1 character for everything but I have no issue starting over on a new class if I wanna try it.

Yes, after quite a controversial 2022 that saw players leave the game in droves, let's tempt them back with "the most requested feature" by giving them... a class change token that they have to buy in the crown store.

I'm totally cool with the ability to change one's class, especially if they don't plan on giving us any more than 18 character slots, but that should just be a gameplay feature. And if it does have to be a change token that one has to buy, then it better not be this year's new feature.

Why do you need feel the need to make another class your main? you don't have to do everything again your original main character is not going anywhere, you can log back into it as anytime your progress hasn't just vanished.

All I do on my alts is level them to 50 and get them combat ready and able to do daily writs and with the armoury you need fewer skill points than ever before, you can just have a crafting set up and combat set up saved with the 2 free slots.

My main issue with the class change tokens is, especially for people that have only stuck to the one class is what if you hate the class you have changed too? do you badger customer support to change you back or spend more money to try one of the other classes, how many crowns will you go through before you find the class you like or end up back where you were originally?

As someone who has at least 1 of each class levelled up, I still prefer my original main that I chose first over any of the other classes available. At the bare minimum if they ever add class change tokens I would suggest people use the template characters on the PTS to find out whether they actually like one of the other classes before making the change.

It'd be good for people who don't want to spend time farming or buying every skyshard and skill line again, and leveling up every necessary skill any time a class like templar gets butchered.
