- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

it would put light/heavy attack damage and wep/spell power on the same scale as if i were dual weilding or running a shield, But without the passives. So running either of these things would be slightly better and allow you more options, but not the ONLY way to play the game in terms of one handed weapons..0 -

I was about to say that what you just said made no sense at all lol. Light and heavy attacks scale off your highest spell and weapon damage + your highest resource pool of either Magicka or Stamina.
By losing that second weapon, regardless of whether it's a shield or another melee weapon, you're making your light and heavy attacks weaker as a result.
Many people have been asking for a one hand and spell or a simple one handed skill line for years, but the devs never came out with it. The game is balanced around having all your slots being used, and I forgot how many years ago it was, but they made 2 handed weapons count as 2 pieces for the set bonuses since they take 2 slots. When I was a kid, a neighbor threw her iron skillet at her kids who were rushing out of the house and it cut clean through her screen door. It didn't hit her kids (thank goodness) but her screen had to be replaced.
But on topic: if you are role playing in overland, try using a light and heavy attack set, use empower, and whack with your one sword through the overland enemies. Consider that for now because if they do what you asked, it could take forever.Fan of playing magblade since 2015. (PC NA)
