Is Claws of the Forest Wraith working?

After some testing with this set I cannot tell any difference whatsoever between the crit chance with light attacks versus a set ability. Does anyone know if this actually works?

I meant a *class* ability. Supposedly the set gives 2k crit chance to class abilities. It does not seem like it is doing so to me. Both my light attacks and my class abilities seem to hit about 30% of the time, same as my base crit rate.

Nevermind. I just figured out that 2k crit chance actually only translates into like a 10% crit chance, which isn't super noticeable without a big sample size.

The set looks interesting at first - you think 9% crit would be great. You even think 'hey, most of my abilities are class ones like on a nightblade.

But then you start to notice what isn't included in the packaging - the light attacks, the set procs, the status damage etc. It drops it to the same % damage as most types, 60-65% of total. And this makes it worth like 6% crit. And a 5 set bonus for 6% crit versus Order's Wrath, which adds 954 crit AND 8% crit damage and you start to realise why it's not quite as good as it should be.

I definitely feel it needed to have been at least 20% crit when you consider the Deadly set adds 15% damage (and crit is only worth 55.6% tops of damage) to channeled Templars.

Even on my Templar, only about 50% of damage is from class abilities. That 9.3% crit effectively becomes 4.7%, which is far worse than 5 piece bonuses like Mother's Sorrow (7%) or Order's Wrath (effectively ~8%).

I could see it being increased to somewhere in the 13-15% range. It would still be inferior to Advancing Yokeda, which gives 11% crit on the 5pc bonus, to all skills, and can be run on a single bar.

I was going to pair it with innate axiom for a pvp build. But from testing I decided the crit chance isn't high enough to justify it. I was imagining a very high crit chance for class abilities, which for pvp would be really nice for burst combos. But 10% just isn't that huge for a 5 piece bonus.

I guess I will stick with Orders's Wrath
