I'm sure that they will wreck the game next year after 2022..

Don't know what they are yet, exactly anyway. Nothing to be afraid of until they show their hand in January.

Nope. Damage to the community is done and nothing theyve said sounds like itll entice those people back,Nothing ever happens in a timely fashion and people have lost patience with how out of touch the devs are.

Less content, bug fixes and a mystery system is what theyre selling to revitalize the game.. yknow what, whatever.

Yeah, and pay another $60 for just a much more smaller "chapter" (which is a DLC) when it should be included in ESO+.

Super excited about increased gameplay and more 'stuff to do' in the Overland.
Whatever it is, its gotta be better than what we have now.

No, just like I haven't been particularly bothered by previous changes.

(plus, it's just a game. Reactions top out at "somewhat annoyed" - like AwA or Bosmer losing their stealth bonus - not "afraid")

To say "afraid" would be by far exaggerated, but I'm very, very sceptical after the direction the game went this year quality-wise, and their announcement to reduce story content.

I don't think we know enough about it yet.

I think it's a good thing that they're changing from the 'year long story' format because that got too predictable and meant not only did we get the same types of updates every year but if you didn't like the theme for one of them you had a long wait for something you might like.

For me it sounds like there will be less to do since I'm mainly interested in questing and exploration and they've said they're moving away from that and they're scrapping the zone DLC, but I'm willing to reserve judgement until I know what we're getting instead as it may be something that works as a replacement for me. (For example if they made it possible to play dungeons solo that would open up a lot more for me to do.)

I also agree that 'afraid' is the wrong word to use. It's a video game, the absolute worst that can happen is I don't feel like playing it any more and so I'll play something else instead. That would be disappointing but it's not frightening.

Not afraid. I am getting a bit pissed though that they are just going to let the playerbase do the guessing game for a month while it feels that the future of the game hangs in the balance.

My unsolicited advice is to focus on the holidays, enjoy the New Life event and otherwise put it out of your mind. Regardless if the news is good or bad, it’s out of our control.

Skeptical is more like it. In 8 years I've learned to not trust people who only speak in PR speech and unconventional terminology. Telling people what they want to hear yet hiding all the cards doesn't inspire confidence.

Hopeful, actually, albeit very cautiously reserved, especially considering the last “requested features” were AWA (horrible implementation and communication surrounding that, even if they’ve since fixed some things) and ToT (at best something I couldn’t care less about).

Of course ESO has introduced things I very much liked, obviously, or I wouldn’t be here. I had thought last year was going to be less changes and new systems to focus on stability, QoL, bugs, etc. and I would have supported that. Instead there were, to me, bad changes, the way AWA was done and then combat changes and nerfs, nerfs, nerfs that diminished my ability to contribute to and enjoy trial progression.

I don't want to say that it can only go up from here but, well, I’m cautiously hoping that it will.

I welcome changes with open arms. Its an absolute must for the future of ESO. The dev letter made a point to let us know that less focus will be put on one and done content and more towards system based content. I cant wait to see what they come up with and i truly do have faith they will deliver.

Worried or annoyed might be better choices instead of afraid. Im not worried really either. I dont think 2023 will be worse than 2022. Could it be? Probably, but I dont think it will be.

I think a better question might be am I excited for them. In which case my answer is still no. Im becoming apathetic.

Yeah, and pay another $60 for just a much more smaller "chapter" (which is a DLC) when it should be included in ESO+.

The chapter isn’t smaller, they make two less dlcs next year. Those aren’t included with the chapter, they are included with eso+ normally. They even said the paid chapter would be bigger. we will have to wait to see how truly bigger it is though…

The Poll Questions is poorly worded.
Not really sure what the point of the poll actually is.
Is this posting for posting sake?

The changes have not been releases. So I am not 'worried'.

I am not afraid of ZOS changes in my life. I have other concerning issues.
    There is an answer.
