There's quite a few failures I would like to mention, many that have been ongoing for years now, but they would likely get me (snip)ed, so I will simply state that React's list is spot on.

Worst part out of all of this, is the wait for crippling game bugs to be patched, but the crown store has issues, there will be an emergency maintenance immediately.

Personally I'm still wishing for a CPU usage bug fix. It got quite bad for some people (I'm affected) after update 33 was released, for reasons that are still not clear. Last year's addition of multithreaded rendering was amazing. Where unfortunately, this year was a step back when it comes to performance in general. I still have to use the CPU config setting workaround from the thread, to keep my game at playable and smooth framerates in large areas.

I would add to the list the new jabs animation with the vampiric motif reskin used as spear model (forgotting in the meantime to update the companion's animation accordingly) and the new flurry animation, and the overnerf to jabs, burning light proc and power of the light that completely killed the Templar class.

I miss playing the old vampire skill line on my templar. Now my templar who I have continue to try out is nothing more than fodders for others to kill.

I really, really suspect, that biggest part of the playerbase are too casual for "prog groups", some barely know how to block and mostly they are very much fine with the game's state.

    Yes, exactly.

It's also funny to think that ZOS's efforts to "raise the floor, lower the ceiling" for casual players is largely ignored by them. They're already playing how they want, regardless of what ZOS does.

But as I've said before, changes like the AwA change shows that the devs are willing to change anything at the drop of a hat going forward. So even the roleplaying and casual fans will have something to grumble about, too.

If things were really as bad as they're being made out to be there wouldn't be anyone left to post about it.

You seriously underestimate people's’ ability to overlook glaring bugs and dedication to bad or broken games in a franchise they have strong personal attachment to.

The things being overlooked are all the good things that created that strong personal attachment.

    The playerbase is declining, noticable
May I ask where one could notice that?
I won't be surprised if it's actually declining, but mmo-population is BS, steamcharts are around pre-pandemic levels (which does look like a decline, but I think that's because of 2020 spike), crowded-ness of in-game instances doesn't really mean much, and then I'm out of ideas. The most convincing were things like "my guild's online is at all-times low and my prog group has disbanded", but I'm curious if there's some real evidence.

    Edit: forgot to level speechcraft

What is real evidence for you?
If you mean official numbers you will never see them. Because only ZOS has those numbers and if they have downwards trajectory why would they ever release the real numbers? It would only hurt their name in public.

So please stop asking for "real" or "official" evidence. It is not going to be shown, ever.

its definitely noticeable in pvp, its dead in gh until the ballgroups get on, major zones seem less and less populated daily, grahtwood used to be really busy on pc/na now its practically a ghost town, same thing with stormhaven, near the undaunted thing people used to stand around and duel, now its only a few.

ive spoken to a few people that have recently quit and they all had the same thing to say, it wasnt the performance that made them quit, we've all put up with bad performance for years, it was the devs (1 dev in particular) and their belittling the players and also the lack of responsibility taken for poor decision making and not listening to feedback.

eso is on its last legs in terms of 'loyal' players sticking around, there is only so much you can take before it not only hurts your mental (getting triggered and feeling like you are wasting time) but also your hardware (cpu bug/the strain bad performance has on your system)
