It sounds simple but reverting to a previous patch means removing all the content released with and after that patch. To to it without removing everything requires finding the specific cause/issue and determining the solution. I expect (hope) Zenimax is working on that now but is not always easy and fast. Certainly not as easy or fast as we would hope.

Stadia will continue to be a wrench in the works (slowing down fixes) until it goes away in January.

Probably long after, as well. I don't see them returning to the old patch schedule.

It would be foolish of them not to.
They consistently used to be able to get fixes out much sooner before Stadia came along.
They need to return to that cadence once Stadia isn't holding things up any more.

Patches need to be tested, and therein lies the problem. They need more time for testing and rework so that the patch is correct, fixes what it is supposed to fix, and does not introduce new problems. If anything, they need to slow down patch updates until they can manage to do this. Limp mode. After that, they can look at ways of increasing frequency.

You're right; the former, pre-Stadia cadence didn't result in fewer bugs. But neither do I think it created more bugs than we see now.
People are just louder about it now because there is currently a larger gap between patch dates; birthing a misperception in those folks' minds that ZOS is exerting less effort simply because it takes longer for patches to roll out.
Which is the same perception they'll continue to hold onto if ZOS fills the Stadia approval process void with more testing time.

Wouldn’t it have to go through console certifying ? Which could mean more downtime

I would prefer that they revert any changes to block, than have that silly expansion.

Luckily, they don't need to delete a whole zone just because of block. If it was one dev on some Ark server being lazy they might need to do this, but it's an entire company with people who know what they are doing.

They could easily revert the changes to jab and flurry animations without violating any contracts with anyone. It seems clear they won't put the time in to do it though.
