You are not making us play more or enjoy the event, quite the opposite. Because what is the point when no matter how many quests we do a day the darn style pages won't drop anyway? Might as well skip frustration and save time to do other things by not bothering.
You say you're listening to us, yet it doesn't appear that way when we cry out in frustration over even simple and small things you could do something about.

Today I did a lot less and still recieved two, however I did also get a second page of the new one as well. 😀When people say to me........

✭I've had to use my tickets for most of the outfit styles from the events this year. Luckily I had no interest in this years costume so I had the tickets to spare. Drop rate does appear to be annoyingly low.

I don't understand the need to lock content behind hard RNG grind walls, seems a waste for the development team when the majority of users will never ever see it let alone use it.
Let it drop for everyone so everyone comes back to the next event.

✭✭✭✭✭I haven't gotten any of the new pages from the golden boxes yet, but I've gotten two-- one on each of the servers I play on-- from purple boxes obtained from harvesting resource nodes. Yes, they can drop from the purple boxes. So the best way to get them should be to harvest resource nodes or anything else that can drop a purple box. Note that there are only six pages of the new style, and the event runs for 13 days, so you should have plenty of time to farm, trade, or buy all six pages.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!4 -

I didn’t, as I specified in my original comment. Those I didn’t know was learned for myself, duplicates sold for nice extra profit. They aren’t even that rare or expensive. By the end of event their prices dropping to the range of 15-40k on pc eu, which is not a lot tbh. If they’d cost 200-300k than it I would agree they are rare.0 -

✭✭The Saarthal pages seem to drop pretty easily, with a once-per-reset cooldown (not 20 hours). I personally kind of like it this way because it means you don't have to grind as much to get a page each day and eventually complete the set.PC-NA

✭✭Day 1: dropped the shoulder
Day 2: dropped the shoes (from a purple box).
Day 3: dropped breeches.
This one did the bare minimum for day 1, and for day 2 used all the level 50 alts to grind for the weekly endeavour by taking the WB quests in Western Skyrim and the Reach. About 8 or 9 WB quests for day two.
Experience has been that for the initial 2-3 days, RNG will be fairly decent, and then it declines.
Actually quite excited about Saarthal Scholar. Some players, including Sammy, have been asking for plain outfit styles and ZOS seems to have listened. Moreover, there are no hip flaps. Hope to get them all, but Sammy is managing his expectations.

Selling value should have nothing to do with the drop rate decisions around events. Events are for everyone, not a new profit source for Traders.

I'll get a couple of the pages with tickets, and buy the rest from guild traders.2 -

And that's my point - "but they'll overflow the market" shouldn't be a factor in deciding the drop rate of event items. How much "event" participants have to do in order to get the event items, is.Why participate in event at all if all the rewards are useless junk which could be bought dirt cheap while doing basically anything else?
...why would I ever buy anything, if I can get it from gameplay? "I can get this cheap off the market" isn't part of my decision making process.
In the end, traders have plenty of things to trade. They don't need events held hostage to their desire to have guaranteed profit "just handed to them". /shrug

Didn't know ESO was a competitive trading sim. Saying "no one is a winner" regarding drops is like saying that if everyone is well fed then everyone is hungry. Exactly. I like trading too, but I would prefer if a style page was guaranteed in one of the first boxes, instead of a lot of people not getting one at all.

ZOS sells tickets.
As a result, it is in their interest to make it so that it isn't too easy to get event items so that people will buy tickets.
Additionally, part of what makes cosmetic items appealing is rarity and perception. If it's easy to get the item it will put a damper on the appeal.
Further, not everyone likes every cosmetic item. If it's rare, you can get $ from selling the event items you get which you can use to get something you want. If it's common if you don't like the item you don't have much of a reason to bother with the event.

I've never sold or traded anything in ESO. I vendor things to NPCs, and things I can't vendor I just delete.
