Best set up for using Markyn Ring of Majesty

This dandy ring does this:
"Gain 100 Weapon and Spell Damage and 1157 Armor for every set you are wearing at least 3 or more pieces of""
There are 7 armor slots - so two sets?
(200 damage and 2314 armor)
or
Does this include jewelry and weapons?
which is 12 slots (if one uses 2x2h)
Which means use could use 4 sets of 3 pieces giving
400 extra damage and 4628 extra armor?
Suggestions for set ups for a PVP Templar (not sure if I will go Mag or Stam)
What about PVE?

✭✭✭✭✭The ring takes 1 slot, so you have 11 slots to build around. Best case is to get 3 sets of 3, for 300 weapon/spell damage and 3471 armor. This can be done with a 3-3-5 setup or a 3-3-3-2 (monster set or arena weapon as the 2).
I'd probably go with a combination where you have 3-3-5 on one bar with that weapon, and break the 5-piece set to add an arena weapon on the other bar (3-3-3-2).
The problem is that 3 piece sets are not very good, things like Willpower and Eagle Eye underperform compared to builds with two 5-piece sets. Even if they were competitive, Markyn's bonus just isn't very strong. Most other damage mythics give better results, so use this only if you are willing to give up damage for armor.1 -

Same thoughts here, it is not really worth it to give up 5pc.
Might toy with the 335 or 3332 as you suggested.

✭✭For PvE, this is how I usually... well... use it.
Having a monster set and the 4-piece bonus from nirn on the frontbar seems better than trying to get the max potential bonus from the ring. And, if I want to solo something, I can just swap it with a ring of pale order and call it a day.
But, all in all, it is pretty much a "discount kilt" for PvE, with the caveat that you do not need to babysit stacks.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, I was just about to say that you need to be very careful about testing which abilities you want to use with Imperium/Eagle Eye because many abilities that seem straightforward do not, in fact, benefit from it.0 -
