Does ZOS ever change Mundus stones?

Just Wondering!
A new type? Increase Tri Stat?
Procs? Chance of fear? Burst heal?
Make me a better dancer?

Thoughts?

There's a mythic set bonus that lets you grab two mundus stones, but no mundus stones don't change. They're set in lore and what they do has always been based on that.

They did slightly change them once, years ago, as part of a balance update, but they kept it within the themes for each one.

If I remember right the main change was they found most players would find The Lover first and then never change it, so they tried to make it less appealing so there was more of an incentive to pick something appropriate to your build.

Not a mythic, but the 9-trait craftable set Twice-Born Star, found in Craglorn.

Love the concept of two Mundi! Love TBS....it's 'divine'

Just curious, thought is was another area ZOS could explore in changing as other things change often.
Not sure how much of a difference it would make.

They changed Mundus Stone bonuses far too often in the past. It's one of the main reasons Twice-Born star is a below average set today despite requiring 9 traits researched to craft it unfortunately. The set would either need to boost the mundus stone effects a little or have one or two of its stat lines changed to offensive stats to be worth building around.

It's kind of a shame too, Twice-Born used to be able to compete with the top dps sets back in the day.

When every Theorycrafter recommends a specific set for every build something is going to get Nerfed

they used to, i feel we are locked in right now to the current bonuses.

They are not likely to add another unless another being somehow does what the other celestials did to reach the stars. Might be something they can explore with a future expansion, and certainly if we go to a new continent we could see an entirely different system.

Yep, and I fully expect Pillar of Nirn to be the next on the Executioner's block because of this.

The Mundus stones offer stats that are beneficial to our builds. There is not much beyond what we have that would offer a worthwhile benefit. Suggestions such as fear and burst heals are better served with skills and sometimes set bonuses.

Yeah, it was great back when Thief gave over 16% crit chance and Shadow was 19% crit damage (with no cap). No way it can compete now that they are 10% and 17% (which is usually knocked down because you go over the 125% cap), at least not with those 2-4 piece bonuses.

A shame they'll never get touched, it would be interesting to combine weapon & spell damage (or two others) and free up a stone for increasing damage over time abilities. At one point they *did* say they wanted to aid that playstyle, though they nuked dots not long afterward so a bit of a mixed message on that one.
