One way is to enable an set of them like half, see if you get problems if not add another group. If you don't want to play without addons and don't want to wait 2 weeks I think it's worth taking the time to enable addons one by one to see which one/s are causing problems, so you only have to keep those ones turned off and can use the others. It might well be only 1 addon that's causing you problems.
Also the 2 week delay isn't because that's how long it takes ZOS to find and fix the problem, it's because they have to go through a certification process for Stadia like they do for consoles.
Found that alts with lots of survey maps and treasure maps are more affected
If you've got a lot of addons that's probably a good way to do it.
I've 'only' got 19 installed (and don't use all of them on most of my characters) so when I'm having problems it's usually just as easy to do it one at a time and see what happens.
This time I didn't have any problems with addons. I had one crash just after turning on the new option to hide pets and heading to the crafting stations in Alinor, which is apparently a separate problem (I'm now keeping that option off until it's fixed).
When I have had to play without addons for a while I'm often surprised by the ones I miss. Like Random Mount, which randomly changes your mount and pet when you change areas. It's probably the most pointless addon I have, but when it's not working I miss it. The only one I didn't want to play without was made part of the base game years ago - the one which added subcategories to the inventory window.

Maybe I will give up the Endeavor grind (and even finishing riding training) and just do something else or focus on another MMO. Not a good plan/solution.
As a PC player who doesn't use addons at all, one thing has always puzzled me about those who use dozens of addons, over a hundred in some cases: What do they all do, do they not duplicate functions and potentially conflict with each other? I can understand people saying "I must have this" or "I must have that", but "I must have over a hundred of them"?
ESO has a busy addon community for a reason: there are many shortcomings with the unmodified game. It was similar with ES3, 4, and 5.MEBengalsFan2001 wrote: »FlopsyPrince wrote: »This is a very disappoint thing.

IMO adds on should be removed so they works towards cross play on all platforms.

Its just the Harvestmap that is the problem. Just remove that ONE addon and corresponding Libraries that Only affect Harvestmap.
Everything else I have runs fine. Haven't crashed at all.

I can tell you that I have zero problems with Harvestmap in older zones. I'm only crashing in the newer zones.
I can't travel more than 100 yards in The Deadlands without crashing (with Harvestmap disabled), but I can ride around in Vvardenfell (with Harvestmap on and full pins displayed) and have zero problems.
This is not an addon problem.

While I can play without them, the reason I switched was explicitly for them. I understand software bugs happen (I have been in development and appsec for most of my long career), but you should have a process that catches obvious things like this. And then not have a minimum of 2 weeks to fix it.
And 2 weeks is a long time if this is our primary leisure activity. I don't watch much TV and movies, though I read a fair bit. So having things whacked for that long is really bad.

Add-ons are unlikely to be the reason why there is no cross-play. It is more likely to be an agreement with one or more of the partners.
Regardless, Zenimax will not be riping away add-ons from players as they know it will lead to a sizeable sum of PC players leaving the game without bringing any benefit to equal that loss. The base game UI is very lacking compared to what has been the standard for top MMORPGs.

i can 100% confirm that the node detection library was causing crashing for me because when i had that enabled i would go maybe 30-60 sec before crashing even in grahtwood

There's also the crashes that happen with the "hide followers in towns" setting set to on. I think maybe some folks are missing looking for that. I turned it off immediately because I don't really care about that, and again, I've had no crashes at all since the update (because of that setting, and because I don't have any addons that require the node detection library).

The fact that Stadia was able to use the PC servers and therefore have crossplay with PC even though it doesn't have addons implies they're not the barrier. Also if they were they could allow crossplay between Xbox and Playstation, since neither of those has addons. There's also the crashes that happen with the "hide followers in towns" setting set to on. That's a good point too. I turned it on, went into the Alinor crafting area and crashed almost immediately, then turned it off and the game hasn't crashed again since. Apparently all the addons I use are ok.

Funny that some games work fine cross platform, but no chance here.
Even a Gacha game Genshin Impact offers it!

This x100. I had been unable to log in without a CTD and disabling addons didn't work. Disabling the nodedetection library did work.

I deleted the NodeDetection folder from my add-ons directory and have had no crashing issues since then. Before that, I had repeated and immediate crashes with the latest patch. So far so good. Maybe now I can actually play the DLC. I have hung in there thru the last patch when everyone claimed that the sky was falling. Now this -- although it is not uncommon to have issues with add-ons when new patches come out. [ sigh ]
